Renfaire 2.0

One of his videos, the tickler says “we don’t do kids, just people 15 and older”. I immediately regretted re-subscribing once I heard that. Not ideal.

He somehow got a Miss Texas pageant woman to do his tickling at one of their stops. Not sure how the hell he pulled that off, but he did. (She got tickled too and it didn’t go over well reaction-wise).

Without having seen it (and didn't try to find it!) How do you mean it didn't go over well reaction wise?

She just didn’t really laugh. Kinda sat there awkwardly and was like “meh”. Nothing special, just like all of his content. Absolute racket he’s made as much as he has on it…basically preyed on curiosity.

You excellent guy has really highlighted a key point!
The potential feeling of getting intimidated tends to inevitably have disturbance on the ticklees' reactions.
Such a disturbance may cause some ticklees' reactions to appear to be somewhat ingenuine, or even weaken their sensations of feeling tickled!
From my perspective, ticklishness is more psychological than physical. So, a good atmosphere is rather important for tickling.

I agree. One of the reasons the Italian renfaire troupe worked so well is the comical, interactive atmosphere they created, bringing in the "victim" and the "victim's" friends and family.

I miss seeing the Italian Renfaire Videos

The troupe was still going through 2019 (although it seems the Canelli festival had ended before that for financial reasons), but the pandemic seems to have shut them down permanently. Their website went offline in 2020 and never came back.

Have we had any new content this 2025?

Ever since the pandemic, im not really sure if the group keeps doing the bit or not. No new copilations have surfaced since 2019 and im not sure if they have just stopped everything or if they simply banned cameras in the vincinity (which would be understandable seeing what happened at Casei Medievale 2013-2019)

The Italian troupe was active in 2019, then shut down during the pandemic. As far as I can tell, they never started up again. It seems no one does the tickling stocks in Italy anymore.

I don't know if the troupe in southern France is still going or not.

That's a great pity!
I've even found that Stimulating Reflexology has shown more upset to the audience because its latest lees tend to be used to all the tickling tools that're used...

I don't know if the troupe in southern France is still going or not.

The last time I saw any information regarding the French troupe was in 2020, when they were suppose to take part in a festival, which eventually didn't happen, interestingly not because of covid, but due to a bad weather and strong wind. And nothing new since then.

I would say they probably stopped. Considering that nowadays nearly everyone has a phone with a camera, I can't imagine they could realistically prevent all visitor form filming it. On the other hand, I guess some people could film it, but never post it, or post it as private, or without any description, so finding it on the internet would be practically impossible. But that's just my speculation.

I saw that Stimulating Reflexology answered one comment under their video, saying that apparently they are planning to do a tour in Canada and UK with their stocks soon, but no other details. However, I would take this information with a huge grain of salt, because let's say they are not the most trustworthy people.

I also think that the Siege of Canelli festival returns this year, but there is no guarantee that the stock would return as well.

Really? I hadn't seen any news about Canelli starting up again. I'd heard it shut down around 2016 for financial reasons.

In 2025 the mayor of the town announced it will be renewed. Here is a link to an article (just remove the spaces after argomenti and articolo). It's in Italian, but basically it says that the festival will start again after it stopped in 2017. But it is not yet clear how it will look like:

https://www.lavocediasti.it/2025/07/13/leggi-notizia/argomenti /eventi-18/articolo /canelli-annuncia-il-ritorno-dellassedio-la-rievocazione-storica-ripartira-nel-2026.html

But as I said, the stocks tickling most likely won't come back, because the group doing it seems to have dissolved some time ago.

I agree, it's unlikely the stocks troupe will come back. But I guess it's not impossible. The Canelli organizers clearly loved the stocks as a public event, so I suppose they might reach out and ask, if the group is still in the area and still has the stocks...

In the last years, it seems like the troupe was more active on Casei Medievale and secondary festivals (Insulla Medievale had one i think) than on Canelli. The thing is, when people started stalking the participants of the Casei Medievale group, all content stopped. I think they took mesures and stopped people from filming and such. The Insula Medievale videos for example are filmed from afar. And there are barely no pictures of the events.

What happened at Casei Medievale? (And what was this event/place?)

Never heard of it and interested.

Casei Medievale was a name of a festival. It was nothing special, there were tents, vendors, re-enactment groups, some tournaments, so the usual stuff. The "Tickle Troupe" participated in it and it was even quite a highlight of this festival. But unlike in Canelli, they weren't only tickling people for not buying tickets, but it was a whole show called "LA DISFIDA DELLE STREGHE". I once found the post describing the rules, so here it is (translated form Italian)":

Rules for the "Witches' Challenge" Game

For the 2015 edition of Casei Medievale, there will be an attraction partially tested last year, which has been incorporated as an integral part of this year's show.
The attraction, with its light-hearted and playful tone, is designed to further engage audiences who aren't necessarily exclusively interested in the fighting, but come to sample local libations and witness something different. At the same time, even those who usually "support" the actual warriors will have the opportunity to participate more actively in the event.

Therefore:

• Each group must nominate two (or even just one, depending on the number of registered groups) young and friendly volunteer witches who will be subjected to tickling torture on Saturday in the pillory. The audience will judge their laughter, screams, and cries of repentance for their witchcraft activities. During this challenge, members of the audience will be randomly selected from time to time to further engage them and also to lengthen the skit.

• For small groups, it is possible to "borrow" volunteers from a friendly group; obviously, they cannot be the same ones competing for the native group.

• It is also possible to ask girls in the audience to voluntarily compete in the game under the aegis of the group; in this case, their scores will be averaged with those of the official contestants. This ploy serves to further engage the audience.

The challenge with all the contestants will take place on Saturday afternoon, to increase the attraction points during the event. Since the game only works well if the girls laugh and scream, any groups that provide unresponsive witches will be banished from the entire Oltrepò area for seven generations, their belongings confiscated, and their camps burned to the ground.

I'm not exactly sure what the controversy was, but some groups posted many photos from this evet, and my guess is some people started sending them creepy messages or demanding more footage. But as I said, I'm not sure if that was a case. Because otherwise it seemed that both viewers and woman being tickled really enjoy this, and I believe it continued till the covid pandemic.

Thanks for that text. I hadn't seen that before.

It's great that they did a version of the tickling stocks with volunteers.

I think it was a neat idea to organise it. And people seemed to enjoy it and I think there were even some rewards, like a miniature statue of the stocks. So I would assume if the stocks ever returned to one of those festivals, it would be something like this. I still think it is unlikely it will return to Canelli this year. Even if the organiser liked it, it has been ten years since the last festival, so I'm not sure anyone remembers them. And the festival might probably be slightly smaller scale, but we will see.

But there would still be a problem with people who just can resist to be creepy. I'm sorry for ranting, but even under Stimulating Feet videos there were several comments like "you should have licked her feet", "what's her name" or "I wonder how her feet smell". And sure, Stimulating Feet is a fetish site, but I can only imagine how creeped out and terrified might be a woman from one of those re-enactment groups, receiving such messages. And sadly I don't think there is any method to stop this from happening.

The game was held at least on 2015, 2016 and 2017. And it seem to have differend slightly on each ocasion.

2015 version apparently had the most participants (nearly a docen), 2016 the least (3-4) and 2017 something in between. Its this last event that had the few videos we have abailable today and i think that right afterwards its when everything was leaked and people started putting creepy post on FB and contacting the participants themselves.

Previous to that, on 2013 and 2014, the stocks were already there but only without the main event (like Canelli), and in 2018 ive seen pictures of the stocks but empty. Thats about it really.

The event was held at least until 2025, but 2019 onwards (ignoring a couple of pandemic years) they dont seem to have gone there. I think they realised the whole situation and stopped going. As i say, other events in 2018 and 2019, like Insula Medievale, had the same premise as in Canelli, but pictures and videos are taken from faaar away.

I think you are probably correct, they must have been spooked up with unwanted attention, because otherwise I don't see any reason why they would stop it(even before the pandemic), since it looked like everyone was enjoying it.

And I guess you might be right, if I recall correctly, during Insula Medievale there were some barriers around the stocks, perhaps to prevent people from filming too close. So who knows, maybe it worked, until covid stopped it all.
