Request for confirmation: Chatroom

This one has suspicions that the update just applied breaks the chatroom. If persons who have been able to access the chatroom recently (e.g. last week, yesterday or earlier today) could confirm that they can still access the chatroom that would be most appreciated. If not I have some downgrading to do.

EDIT: Note that it appears Digichat (the provider) is not working at the moment. A support ticket has been submitted with them and hopefully they will fix the problem on their end. Once that is done we will be able to tell if the update broke the room or not.

Thank you for that, 44Blues. I have received word from yourself and one other that it is nonfunctional. One more confirmation and I will start work on fixing this (as right now it appears to me that it could either be the chatroom down on their end or broken on our end).

Unless you did the forum work before noon est the issue is on the digi-chat side of things.

As I can't sign in via the admin system for the room which bypasses the TMF 100%, I am sure it's thier issue. A help ticket is in.

Ah, that's a relief. The error I am receiving (either "connection broken unexpectedly" and "specified site ID could not be found") confuses me as to how it could be caused by the change I just made. I'll hold off on doing anything, then, until word from DigiChat comes back. Thanks, Bossman and all who have replied.

Same here for me, I was okay yesterday and today I can't get in. I'm sure it will be okay soon though.

I was pretty much there when it stopped working, so maybe this info may come in handy.

I and a few others were in there until 12:00 AM Pacific Time, when the chat does its daily purge. Up until then, people were coming in and out just fine. It was after the purge that the chat became unaccessable. So, maybe it had something to do with the chat kicking us all out to update, or something? I dunno the inner workings of the chatroom, but yeah, that's what happened.

I saw this thread and went to have a look just now. At first everything was okay, business as usual. I was chatting in the main room, and had a couple of PM windows going as well. All of the sudden, just as I hit enter in a PM window, it all just disappeared. The PM windows, the main room, and even the browser itself.

When I got back in, I sent a PM to Biscuit. That message came right back to me from drew70, in the main window but blue, like a PC. I suspect it's my own Java acting up, but I'd never seen this happen before.

Everything should be well now; if special features aren't working you may need to either download the most recent version of Java (which I entered with just fine) or downgrade to an earlier version if the latest breaks some features.
