Didn't see a thread, prob missed it but Ryan Dunn found dead today due to excessive speed/crash

Wow... Dunn bit the big one, and went out like a chump, too, bringing someone else down with him.

I honestly thought Steve-O would have been the first one in the group to die, but I guess not.

I was just discussing with my coworkers how every entertainment troupe of more than 3 people inevitably loses on of their members early, making a true reunion impossible:

The Beatles: John Lennon
Monty Python: Graham Chapman
Led Zeppelin: John Bonham
AC/DC: Bon Scott

(plenty of other examples) and now Jackass lost Ryan Dunn. I hate being proven wrong sometimes, and am pissed that it happened when there were still more projects to do.

Granted it's hard to feel sorry for the guy because he killed a civilian in the process, but considering that he lost his own life as well, I'd say he didn't really get away with it. If he were alive though, my guess is that he wouldn't have wanted to put someone else's life at risk, and it was unfortunate for him and the other victim that it turned out that way.

I have to agree, even if it sounds harsh. I read a comment earlier from someone that said "may the person who crashed into him burn in hell." Dunn was the one driving drunk! I still feel somewhat bad for his family of course but it's his fault.

i like jackass the show but this was horrible. can't disagree that it was his fault but i feel bad for the guy who also died...he was innocent and didn't make the bad decision to drink and drive

It is a tragic thing that happened and I don't feel too bad about Dunn dying but he caused another death too. Then all those crazy stunts on 'Jackass' he never got hurt badly. Irony indeed.

It's a pity Ryan died at speed. To say I have no sympathy would be a lie. He's now dead and his family are grieving. He killed a civilian too of course, and I also feel pity for his family. Point is, Ryan made a stupid mistake and paid with his life and the life of another. He's paid his dues for what he did with his life.

Paying for your stupid decisions with the life of an innocent is despicable, at best.

His passenger was almost certainly someone who had been drinking with him that night, and was probably in the same condition. It's not like he killed a kid who was crossing the street.

None of that means it wasn't wrong and it doesn't make this any less of a tragic waste, but to talk about him like he's a murderer...cold, you guys. Very cold.

I don't think that they're so much calling him a murderer, as they are calling him a moron. If you're going to do stupid shit, then make sure it's only your life at risk.

His passenger didn't make the decision to get behind the wheel of a car while drunk, and didn't make the decision to drive recklessly at absurdly high speeds. He isn't a murderer, but he is an idiot, and he IS responsible for that death.

It's self-righteous to point out the obvious fact that he is an idiot for driving drunk ?
