Do ya love em or do ya hate em? If you love them which ones? If you hate them, why?

Hate.
Simply because the height/size restrictions prevent me from going on them. 🙁

I love them. I've only really gone to the Six Flags here in Illinois and my favorites there have to be the Batman and the Superman, but there is a new Dark Knight coaster that I really want to try out. Me, HDS, and a friend are all going in a couple weeks. Yayzors.

I heard that "dark night coasters sucks huge dick.......did you ever get to ride deja vu when they had it? Also I miss shockwave, and I love that raft ride

I miss shockwave too. Even though it damn near gave you a concussion from your head bouncing off the harness constantly, it was one of the funner coasters there. I never got to ride Deja Vu because most of the times I've gone, it's been broken.

Yeah Shockwave hurt my neck many of times. Did you ever ride that coaster that was like a bobsled? I think it got torn down in the early 90's. Iron Wolf is kinda cool. V2 rocks as well

The only ride I dont like is "the giant drop" it's just too much. Every time I rode it I was pumped afterwards, but when your that far up just sitting there it's fuckin scary. The drop doesn't scare me one bit. It's sitting there thinking OMG is it stuck?

I love Roller Coasters.I get a little scared to go on Ring Of Fire at the fairs because I have heard of them breaking down while the coaster was still upside down.

I was like barely out of toddlerdom in the early 90's so I probably missed it. Iron Wolf is ok, but that weird bicycle seat hurts the genitals. I've never ridden V2 because it was always broke when I went as well, and I agree with you on Giant Drop. Mostly, I thought it wasn't worth the line for you to go up and then fall down one time. And those three clicks you hear when you get to the top are quite disconcerting.

I'm with Budweiser Bob. I don't fit in the seats and the shoulder harnesses don't fit. I haven't been on a coaster in years, but I love them.

That's because they were made for humans and not monsters.

*sigh* So what's a monster supposed to do at the park? I usually go ride the bench in front of the chicken sandwich stand.

Actually, that's something I have fun doing. There are a couple good waterparks within a couple hours. One's even indoors and you can go in winter. You should come. I'll cannonball you.

What does that mean? I don't want some monster jumping into the water and drowning me.

I think a ticklephiles day at a water-park would be the pinnacle of awesome.
It'd be a really fun way for a bunch of strangers who might have little else in common(than talking tickling on the Net) to spend the day and get acquainted! :super_hap I mean, besides just gathering for munches or whatever people do.

That does sound fun. I like swimming, I just hate the apparel.

Never been on a roller coaster when I could go on one; I was paranoid in the extreme! I always thought something would go wrong with the machine when I went on it, and especially for those smaller wooden roller coasters.
One time, my overly-highly-greatly-irrational paranoia of roller coasters paid off. At some park in California, my cousins wanted to go on a roller coaster that had a crazy long ride (I think it might have been Space Mountain :huh), and we left because the line was so long. Then, we were told that a coaster fell off the track and I think 4 people ended up getting seriously injured/dying, or something. Haha, paranoia being reaffirmed! :ggrin: ;P

And now, that I feel more confident, all-in-all, I can't even go on one, really. All that bashing around, my brain wouldn't be able to sustain the assault. 🙁 Part of me's sad, but part of me's not; my paranoia didn't completely go away. 😉

And the water park does sound 'entertaining'! 😉

Wonder if NEST, or some other official meeting will ever have enough money to rent out one for a day. :stickout

Well, (hopefully we aren't diverting too too far from the original intent of the thread for a sec), I was really just thinking of it as more of an impromptu arrangement where a bunch of people who've enjoyed each others' conversations online get together in a public(non-tk-people too) place to get acquainted while having a blast. A park with a rollercoaster would be just as great as the waterpark. Where's a centrally located place with BOTH?

Damn. You are right, sadistictcklr! We need to rent out a combination water/amusement park as a community for a weekend. Gawd, it could be the stuff of legend!

Six Flags in Illinois is both amusement park and water park and general admission gives you access to both.

We must converge there as a community en masse someday! :grouphug:

What's everybodies calendars looking like for 2012?
