Royals on a ROLL!!!

At the moment it is 3:30AM in Kansas City and I can't sleep. Knowing my Royals are one win away from the ALCS is very exciting, especially since this team has been downtrodden for so long.

Now we have two games at home starting Sunday to punch their ticket to the ALCS. And knowing we have "Big Game" James Shields going for us, the odds are in our favor. I'm pretty sure that's why Yost pulled him early from the game earlier in the week.


If Ned Yost is not the AL manager of the year, then the voting is definitely rigged.

Royals are 4-3 against the O's...I don't expect them to sweep but they have a shot. What a season for the Royals to this point. They have gone further than I thought they would.

With postseason baseball, like any type of playoffs, I think you should put aside your predictions and expectations and just hold on to your butts! (Jurassic Park Reference.) I'm not sure anyone thought the Tigers and the Angles would get swept, or that Clayton Kershaw would give up 8 runs or that the injury plagued Giants would take the first two games from the Nats.

At this point, anything can happen, and it's so much fun to watch. The Royals do seem to be playing consistently the best of anybody right now, though

Congrats to the Royals. I hope they win the ALCS. I'm privately hoping for a Royals/Dodgers World Series, so that two teams who haven't been to the World Series in over two decades, can play for the title. I think that would be great, for both cities, and for baseball as a whole.
