RPG Maker Translation Coordination

Anyone who had read this post, forget it, lol.

I was thinking on translating Gigantia, but it's freaking hard. Will look for an easier map to translate xD.

So, Gigantia (75, i think) is open again xD

Also, Mlurkers, Map 70 wasn't fully translated. The vendor was speaking italian, as well as Alice as soon as she enters the map, and one of the girls walking there was speaking italian too.
 
Here is the translation. There might be a few hiccups in some places but it may be of some use.

Well as Lurka said, 70 was already translated in his batch (Though, i swear the version i input into the RPG maker didn't have it translated). I'll move onto another.

btw, map 69 is already translated. in the previous attempts.

Attempting map 72. This one could take a while.

Gigantia's map is a little annoying to translate because it's hard to see the squares when you have the events layer selected. Click on the layer3 button, indicated by the arrow, to change layers and it'll make the background gray, instead of white, letting you see the white event squares. You'll need to switch back to the event layer (red x) to edit the squares, but at least you can locate them more easily when using one of the other layers.

That square in the lower right area is what the events look like, while on that layer. A little spatial memory will go a long way in translating gigantia.

Nah, i know that. To Gigantia, i recommend doing this: Filling the background on 1st layer with grass, them usin mazimun Zoom-out (1/4). The squares will be highlighted.

That's not the problem, the problem is at the lenguage itself xD. Wasn't being able to make anything do any sense, right on the first event XD.

And, wow, that dialogue will probabbly be pretty useful.

When we hit some kind of milestone—and if anyone knows what a good milestone might be, I'm all ears—I'll make a zip with everyone's contributions thus far.

In the mean time, I encourage everyone translating to pay attention to these instructions from the OP:

Once the maps are done:
  • make a new folder called Data somewhere
  • copy the completed map files into it
  • use 7-zip (or winrar or whatever) to archive it
  • upload that archive
  • if there are remaining maps, adopt some of them and repeat

Doing so means people can download all of our zip/7z/whatever files, multi-select them, and then choose to "extract all" of the files right in their game directory, instead of having to manually place files from the archives in their Data folder. Less work for users is good.

Seriously, after I'm finished with the underworld, there will be 20 and something maps left, with it's not much (And the Feathermaster, but that's being worked on already xD)

I think that's better to upload the whole Data folder once the whole translation is complete.
 
I'll work on map 73. I have no idea on what maps the next area of storyline needs. I'm either for leaving everything till we're finished or till the next area that needs to be cleared is translated in terms of batching.

The two top guards are untranslated. The red haired patron and girl across from her at her table is untranslated. Some lines on NPCs in the upper left are untranslated.

IMO, "Generalessa Neka" should be General Neka.

"[W]ho spoke with the "R" accent ...." probably should be "who rolls her Rs."

In general, watch out for male pronouns. Either Italian has some gender neutral ones, or Google Translate assumes implied pronouns are male, but either way, when they show up in the Kusuguru world areas of translation, they're wrong, since there are no males.

Whew, I'll make the corrections and clean up map 73 as well. This translation business isn't easy work! Thanks for reading over my work!

Ritmo is rhythm.

The event in the upper left corner is untranslated as well.

I found it hard to verify my translation without being able to actually play through the area, but doing that revealed a lot that I'd missed, or that I could improve upon.

When all the areas between the dungeon and the end of the feathermaster are done, and when I have time, I'll play up through and edit everything weird or omitted that I bump into. If anyone objects to me editing, let me know.

There are only the Feathermaster left, and then maps 94 - 105, and the rest of the Boss Punishment Zone. The rest is already done, i guess! We're close to the end! (I will probabbly take the last maps if anyone doesn't do it first. But... not today xD)

I think i made a better job here than at the Dungeon. Map 86, however, was hard as hell and I'm pretty sure i did a lot of errors there. If someone wants to re-translate it, feel free to do it. The rest is probabbly alright.
 
mlurkers, you're going to translate the whole Feathermaster?

If yes, we just need for the others to focus on the end-game and Gigantia and the game will be fully translated =P
 
071 should be done by tomorrow, rest of the Feathermaster maps isn't reserved yet
 
You're all awesome people for helping with the translation efforts, I did play up to the ship with the provided maps and didn't really notice any error or drop in translation quality.

Damn fine job you guys did there. 🙂
 
...If only I some of these games were in Finnish or Swahili.... I could help translate then! Or if they were in english... that would be even easier for me to translate into english!
