Ruth Buzzi passes away

Ruth Buzzi passed away on May 1st. She was an actress known for Sesame Street and Broadway productions, but most of all as hairnet wearing, handbag weilding Gladys Ormphby on Rowan & Martin's Laugh In and the Dean Martin celebrity roasts.

One Dean Martin roast that I saw just this morning was with Angie Dickenson of Police Woman fame. Gladys was at the microphone saying that she was a police woman but she wouldn't get any attention because people would always associate the job with Angie Dickenson's character. She turned to Dean Martin and said "Take away the nice smile, the blonde hair, the beautiful body and then what have you got?" to which Martin replied "You!". She then chased Dean offstage whacking him with the handbag as many times as she could.

That was the character in a nutshell and Ruth always brought a fresh approach to the character. Rest in Peace Miss Buzzi.

Not only that but we lost a few very talented musicians in that private plane crash in San Antonio.
Ever since 2016 we've been losing a lot of bright shinning stars. It's been a BAD past ten years for losing famous people. 🙁
