I'm sure there's a thread like this but I want some new imput.

I'm the kinda guy who focuses on comfort instead of harshness. What are some good ways to tie someones wrists and ankles without hurting or brusing them, and without having to buy fancy equipment.

Any ideas?

Never used rope before.

Wrap dish towels around the lee's wrists and ankles and use stockings, belts, ties, bungee cord etc..the towels will prevent the bondage from ripping into the lee's skin. That is about as cheap as you can get. If not, use duct tape; won't hurt...that much.

lol... never used duct tape! But ties have always worked beautifully... no marks or discomfort. Comfy wrist/ankle cuffs are the best, but yeah... not cheap.

Sportsheets! They make great stuff on the cheap. The cuffs I bought were like $20 a pair, and have held up under some serious tickling. Also, PVC tape is about 7-8 bucks a roll, doesn't stick to skin or hair, and makes for some seriously fun bondage.

Juz take a soft and thick rope, so it won't hurt and it feels wonderfull

Define "fancy equipment." A decent set of wrist and ankle cuffs will set you back about $100. That's not all that much. Even a good supply of rope costs a certain amount of money.

If you can't afford even that, then go to a thrift store and buy an armload of old neckties and silk scarves. They're quick and easy to apply and soft enough to be comfortable.

Also, get a copy of some basic bondage guide, such as The Erotic Bondage Handbook by Jay Wiseman. Or even better, find some bondage classes through your local kink community.

You're going to spend about the same amount either way - on cuffs, or on rope/scarves and some instruction in how to use them. Just depends on what you want.

Take tube socks, and cut then into wrist bands. You can double them up if you want. I love em when I'm not using the fur lined cuffs. If you got fur or felt-lined leathers, you don't need any extra padding. But the socks should be enough for ropes.

Unless I carved it and tooled it, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I charged that! For all four, probably closer to $60 would be fair for a plain package with a good finish. Course I haven't priced them since I have no need to buy. But 15 years ago, before I started making leather goods, I bought mine for $48 at a renfaire. Not the highest end, but after all these years, and the wierd finish over the color has worn off, but they're still able to preform, and look better since the finish wore off.

That depends on how hideable it has to be, Oscar. A big bondage wall, fully rigged suspension ceiling, and well crafted bondage furniture can be awfully obvious. Not so good if you need to hide it when vanilla or non tickle friends (or parents) are over in your small studio apartment.

A futon or a bed with posts will work ideally for horizontal bondage. A couple short nylon webbing style cargo straps with a knot at one end closed into the top of door (heavy door like your front door) will work for overhead bondage. Nothing fancy, nothing expensive, and it all disappears into a drawer.

But if you got a room to hide it in, and money to spare....fancy can be awwwwweeeessssooooommmmmme.

I think you all misunderstood me. My problem isnt cost, its just that I dont want to go to a sex shop or order any of that stuff online; people would think ill of me.

Thanks for your ideas they are really helpful.

Fuck what people think.

Do you think that you would be something new to those who work at a sex shop?

There are definitely ways you could go to a sex shop a bit farther away from where you live so you wouldn't be noticed or recognized by anyone, but I do understand the discomfort of browsing a sex shop.

That being said, I have been bound with the following, which all work well:

any kind of scarves - gauze, silk, cotton, etc. Most department stores, Delias, Old Navy, and the like stock loads of them in the women's section

bondage tape - can be bought at Spencer's Gifts store. Like saran wrap but in tape form, it only sticks to itself

Saran wrap!! - wrapping it really tight around both wrists and around both ankles = great fun. Also a sweaty Lee after some time, but it has worked rather well

a leg brace - they're big enough they can fit tightly around both calves to keep those feet locked in place

rope and dish towels - the towels eliminate any discomfort, though rope by itself doesn't actually hurt that much, just leaves marks for a couple hours.

You mentioned you haven't used rope before, but rope is tied the same way scarves and the like are. There are plenty of websites which can illustrate and explain various basic knots (try Googling "8 basic knots" or something like that). And the best part about rope is that if you're not good at knots yet and have the money to spend on a good deal of rope, you can just cut the rope when you're done!

All that being said, fur lined cuffs have been the most comfortable for me, but women's scarves come in a verrrryyyy close second. I always have two scarves wrapped around my bedpost for "decoration" a.k.a. in case I bring a boy in and we want some impromptu play. I have used up to six at one time for a complicated position, which would set you back around $70 if you buy from Old Navy or a similar store, but I think they're a good investment.

Happy bondage 🙂

Then you'll want to go with very concealable stuff.

You have a PM waiting for you.

I'm sure that lots of public figures do this sort of thing, if I am to take your message literally. Just go to a sex shop or buy online, most online stores put things in discrete packages cause they know it's being shipped through the mail. Hell I went to fascinations with a sighted friend last night, I was very calm compared to what they had there, never had seen whips like that until now, things looked like they could kill. Anyway, thanks for cuffs idea, might be going for that myself actually. But if you want to be concealing, just hide the shit. Me? I don't really care what people think, what I do is my business, not theirs. Oops, did I leave that gag in plain sight? Sorry parents, it's one of my extracaricular activities, should I put it on my grad school aps? 😛

The pet shop. I've bought my first set of bondage items there also because I was shy about sex shops. Good quality leather collars of small to medium size work perfectly for wrists and ankles, just check the quality of the buckles. You might have to make a few extra holes with a sharp knife.
