Santa Barbara, anyone?

I'm thinking about studying at Santa Barbara City College and I was wondering if anyone
lives in the area or even attends that college?
Would be wonderful to hear about it from people who actually live there :]

If you don't know anything about the city college, I'd like some info on the area anyway ^^,

There's a gathering in that area on a monthly basis (San Jose/Los Angeles/San Diego) as well as a relatively strong general fetish scene in San Francisco.

You'll have no problem finding people to hang out with in the area. 😉

As for the school, sorry, but I couldn't tell you.

My hometown and first real love. Born, raised, left when I was 15 (I'm still pissed at the folks for moving us I think.) I go back when I can which isn't often these days but the place rarely changes much since the moratorium on building back in the 80s. The weather's great all year round, you have the beach, the attitude is nice and relaxed and from CC, it's a smooth transition to my Pop's alma mater, UCSB if you pull grades. Few places I've been are the total package but Santa Barbara does it for me, totally. How lucky you are!

At the beach? Yep, the folks dragged us frequently. They had friends who sold their stuff there. I didn't appreciate like I do now.

Here's an interesting story from my days there~do you rmember the end of Rocky III, when Stallone holds up the winner's belt, and it freeze frames into gold, bronze, silver? The South African sculptor who did the piece was a real life friend of both Stallone (they'd met in South Af) and my father's! I never met Stallone but a few years later the sculptor who lived in La Mesa (and a totally cool cat) was gunned down over a diamond smuggling that went wrong. How crazy is that!

Ya, his name was Giovanni Schoemann (I'm guessing as to the spelling and I've never googled him but it's quite a story and one of my many brushes with fame living there.) I get a lot of grief here for my celebretard bashing but I spent a lot of time around these people, most of them positive~I'd still go back in a heartbeat if I could afford, I had the best time ever!
