I was browsing some older threads earlier and found one that I thought was interesting. Supposedly, its impossible to tickle yourself. I know I've read articles about that before and I understand why scientists have "proven" it to be impossible. Judging by the posts on the thread I found about it ( http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35613&perpage=15&pagenumber=1 ) some people are able to do it- but mostly by using objects or other means.
Now, is it just me, or can anyone else out there tickle themselves just with their fingertips/nails? Because personally, it tickles me so badly I can't even do it for more than a second. Since I'm the one in complete control I stop immediately at the first stroke. It sounds like the few people on that thread who also were able to tickle themselves in the same manner were able to do so for an extended period of time.
So what does that tell me? Am I that hypersensitive to being tickled? Anyone else out there have the same problem? Again, since I've never been tickled by anyone I don't have anything to compare the sensation to, so I really dont know how ticklish I am.. I just know that I cant do it myself!
