Serious Question: Do 'Lees' Ever feel Harrassed On This Forum?

I can see where it could be very intimidating for a woman here, but I think that if people establish what they want out of this and set limits with themselves early on it can be fun for everyone. It's important to keep an eye out for obvious indicators of disrespect and repeated unwanted behaviour and report it. I think the mods here are very good at making this place as safe as an on-line community can be.

I wouldn't say I "hate" those PMs, or feel "harassed" by them. However, I do feel that sending me a PM that says "I saw you were logged in, and was wondering if you wanted to chat. I love talking to lees!" is basically the equivalent of walking up to someone in a bar and saying, "Hey, you're a woman, will you talk to me?" It doesn't give me any reason to want to interact with the person.

A much better opener would be, "Hey, I saw what you posted about __________, and I thought that was __________. What do you think of __________? If I don't know you, and you're PMing me out of the blue, you have to show that I'm more than just a ticklish female to you. Remember guys - right or wrong, the numbers are in our favor, and we get to be selective. 😉

I can't speak for all the lees on the forum, however over the course of my membership here I have recorded quite a few PM's that made me feel somewhat objectified as if I'm not a person first, but instead some tickle toy. I don't even bother going into the chat room at all anymore cause that was not an enjoyable experience. Now I'm not grouping all the lers in a particular category for there are many that are down to earth and who do in fact attempt to establish a decent rapport with a lee. So I'm not sure if I touched upon your topic of being "harassed" for I wouldn't say that, however being respectful towards all within the community goes a very long way.

Why do you mean by "harrassed" I have found some people here that are like trying to get to far, asking your phone number, insisting into having video chats. And there's nothing wrong with that, but you gotta know the people to allow them to get your personal life, right? Other than that, never felt harrassed.

Yeah i Introduced myself when i joined hehe i was just commenting on how of feel sometimes.

I never introduced myself formally in the beginning, and now I feel as though it's too late. It seemed a bit self serving to me at the time, so I thought that I would just jump in head first and see where it goes. In hide sight, I should have, because even though I'm straight and a ler, I get a lot of guys asking me if I'm into male on male when I'm in the chat room. I know this thread is for lee's but I am asked on a regular basis if I am one. I've never had any problems once I explain that I am not. I should have set the record straight{no pun intended} right from the start.
