I have been giving responsibility at my job I have had for 90 days now to be the person that closes the office on my own as 2 of my co-workers are going on vacation in August ,there are a few other workers that come in early during the day and leave about 6pm leaving me running the Dispatch office until 10pm when my shift ends. I am excited yet just a little nervous having all this put in my lap!. In addition after August , I have been put in charge as Supervisor as one of my c0-workers is 5 months pregnant and she has plans to move to Alaska after the baby is born :couch:

Thank you Milagros 😎 yes that is true,it is kinda funny as some of the co-workers when they see me arrive ,they say " Awesome,Laurie is here to save the day" which I smile and laugh but now it makes alot of sense what my co-workers think of me and my job performance :grouphug:

Wow... for a bit there... this forum was getting a bit negative... but jeez!... It's been jam packed with good news these past couple of days! I love it!

Damn woman! Talk about going from rags to riches! You have done an excellent job getting your feet back under you. I gotta admire a person that has worked so hard to pull yourself up and look at how wonderfully you have dusted youself off. I'd pat you on the back and shake your hand if I was able... but the thought is there.

LOL Maniactickler,while I do have the power to send someone home if they are not working or slacking off :firedevil ,I haven;t fired anyone yet ..So far,the new hires are being dependable and not making any errors doing our job .

Thank you Mz_chaos for your wonderful response :woot: I agree that it is wonderful to see positive threads hearing about other members lives that are going well too! I am saddened when I see quite a few threads with people passing away,others having dilemmas of what to do in certain situations,ect

yes MZ_chaos,I am bewildered as to where I have been not so long ago and I did alot of soul searching,praying and something told me while living with my folks isn;t a bowl of peaches,that it was the right thing to do to reconcile with them as they are really all the biological family I have..Long story short,I made a few goals for myself,put my best foot forward and though I have not forgotten where I have been,I am staying in the present and have the future ahead of me.
AWW thank you hun,I truly appreciate your warm thoughts and I'd love to shake your hand too,offer you a hug of friendship and it;s the thought that counts :woot:
