Sims 3

I'd say no, but then again I've dropped 80 bucks on one porn video before.

I want it tooooo!
But I dunno if it's gonna be a waste of money! Eek

Yeah ... but I wouldn't do that just in case my computer crashed or something.
Everything would be lost forever and it's like you just wasted $50 on a download, ya know?

i'm quite addicted to sims 2, my gf got sims 3 but i havent had a chance to mess around with it yet.

oh features... uhhmmm its more on a neighborhood theme now... like you get to build your own neighborhood and all... plus you get to go in other sims houses... creating your sim has more options to it 😀 ohh and adding traits to your sim! and you can now like go to places without waiting for the load screen 😀

I don't remember the upgradse. It sounded like many of the things that were patched or added in the expansions for two made it to 3.

However, there is a wikipedia page dedicated to Sims 3. It should have all of the information you want. That can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sims_3

Gamefaqs has it rated at an 8.9 right now if that means anything to you.

This link will take you to the gamefaq forums for sims 3. You may be able to find a better answer there than here. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/gentopic.php?board=936498

On digital downloads: MOST places will give you a warranty on the product you download. For example, so long as Steam/Valve are in place, you can redownload any game you have purchased, ever, forever.

I HAVE NOT CHECKED THAT THIS APPLIES TO EA BUT, I know they have a program for digital downloads, as well as a website that you may be able to purchase from, and the last game I purchased from them had a two year redownload warranty. So I could redownload it as much as I wanted over the course of two years, but after that I no longer had the right to download the game. Whatever website you use should have their policy somewhere, and if they don't have one I wouldn't download from them. I also felt short changed by EA (they're the same people that make sims btw), but was too lazy to get up and go to a store for the game I bought. So yeah.

But to answer the original, actual question, I haven't tried Sims 3 yet, so other than the info I provided, I can't help you out.

Etc. - Oh, I'm a gamer, btw. If you need info on games, let me know.

I'll let you know if you want. I've got a friend whos boyfriend bought it for her like the day it came out. I asked her to let me know about it and all.

I love sims 2. I want to buy 3 as well but, only if its worth it so I am waiting to hear from my friend who has it. otherwise I'm content with 2.

If you want I'll let you know what my friend says.

also this is a good site to learn of whats new:

When you buy it online, in most cases you can download it as many times as you want. I buy all of my games online now to save me from having to try not to lose the CD.

you know i was about to send you a message about this? i didn't know you had your screen name changed so i didn't know you made the topic.

I got The Sims 3 the first day it came out on tuesday and i've been playing it since and i can say it's DEFINITELY worth it. I actually pre ordered it back in december and i got the collector's edition with the little green diamond flash drive thingy, it's purrrty

The entire game play is all live, there's no loading up between places and stuff like that, you can go from house to house walking and everything will be running in real time.

So far i've found the most enjoyment in building houses on the empty lots, i plan to use the game as a kind of 'cheat code' for the interior design class i'm considering taking next semester. They got rid of all the annoying things from the other games, you can place things on angles and you have so much more landscape options to make the homes look exactly as you would want them.

One little thing about the game, it's prone to crash on computers that are not super epic. Even though the game is only about 5 gigs, it uses a lot of memory and processor power to power the entire town, and you could get crashes if you shift from the ultra time speed to the normal time speed.

The quick fix is to just lower the graphics all the way and most importantly run the game in windowed mode. Full screen mode causes a lot of crashes.

I'm still amusing myself with the game right now, there's so much little funny things in it, and a LOT of poking fun at real life people and events. It's an amazing game and if you can get, I say definitely get it, then we can share our towns and stuff 🙂
