Since the show Thursday; have anyone notice a picking up or dropping of activity on the forum?

ive noticed more threads about Tyra Banks, thats about it 😛

Ah I see. I'm not sure it'll make much of a difference, bar perhaps an increased awareness of other fetishes.

There are a good number of people joining the forum everyday, but as the majority of them do not post, it would be difficult to decide which of them are tickle fetishists and those who are merely curious.

It would be good to see someone pop their head up and say, "Oh hello, I heard about tickling on the tyra banks show, and thought I'd check it out", but somehow I find the possibility of that happening unlikely.

I would hope it bring more ladies into the forum also; I hope it would down play their fear to try something new and fun.:bouncybou

It might do - though the community wasn't mentioned by name. I'm not too sure if it will draw people in, but whether it happens or not, I don't really care that much.
We have a fantastic group of people in here, and as someone (can't remember who) mentioned the other day, do we even want loads of "curious" people in here?

Well, let's look at this from an interesting angle.

If "curious" people come here and explore, interact with us, mingle, get to know our fetish, even if they don't have the fetish, themselves...then perhaps we could get input from them. Their thoughts on the subject, their experiences with it, their reactions to it, their fears of it, and (the big one) their confusion on the topic.

Using this information, perhaps others here in the community can develop an effective way of breaching the wall between obscurity and mainstream...in a way that doesn't draw too much attention to ourselves, but won't leave us in the shadows, either. More resources to draw from would mean more control. More control could mean a more accurate slice into the public, when another "Tyra Banks presents" type of show comes about. When that happens, perhaps all the other curious people watching television out there can better understand us, rather than us just...presenting it to them the best we can from what we know.

Get to know them, and the way they would most likely respond, and the process of introducing tickling to the masses just may be that much more easier. 🙂

Call me a pessimist, but I'm going to be on pins and needles for a bit.

Whether a fetish gets good or bad exposure isn't the point. It's the person doing a curiosity check on the net that decides what will happen. For every one genuinely interested being that might find us here because of the show, you'll probably find ten little potheads hitting us up just to load a virus kit or spam for their and their stoned out buddies' amusement.

I highly doubt that this will cause any worthwile integration into the mainstream. Sure, they may look in general discussion and see that we are every day people just like them, but all that will go flying out the window when they move to the art section and see a picture of Rainbow Brite being tied down and gang tickled by My Little Pony.

Is there btw possible to find the clip from the show on the net?
Kind of curious! 🙂

Why? I am perfectly happy with the folks who share a common bond and feel no need to be "accepted" by the masses...

Why do so many think it is a necessity that the "mainstream" know all about us and what makes us tick...?

To me it seems a waste of good time and energy.....

Actually we've had a nice lil increase on people makin' up bullshit names and posting ridiculous advertisements and what not.

Tyra did a segment.

Woop.

Moving On, Now...

See..

If Oprah did it...

We might have all got cars or something...

Sometimes after something is exposed on national TV; you will notice a spike in activity from curious people.

I was wondering if that would happen as well. I won't be suprised if somebody joins here or at TT and eventually says, "Hi, I heard about this kind of website on the Tyra Banks Show... etc."

But, there could be an increase that we don't notice cus they're all lurking. All five of them haha.
