I wasnt sure whether to report it or not. Thought it might just be me a case of not liking what he said is all. Don't want to end up reporting everything I don't like.
Vlad, thank you for the advice and all. This is the first time this has happened to me so I'm allowed some leeway.
I reported it for you. I know it can be hard sometimes to discern whether or not someone is just in a bad mood, has a negative opinion, or is trolling. But if any of those three things are happening they usually aren't acceptable, and you can usually tell if its trolling or not based on the reply itself.
It's usually short, quick, and ambiguous in intent. Trolls like to keep you guessing and just love it when you assume it's an insult.
I noticed he edited his first reply to you. And the reply was only several words long. That for example shows me that it was premeditated, which allowed me to realize he was trolling you.
As for the advice, I hope everyone starts taking it. Mine and Valerie's. We've all been in enough trolling situations to know what they are, and how to react to them. You should all know better by now.
I wasn't even refering to you actually when I said that. I was refering to everyone else who had already been in these types of deals several times before, and I was aggrivated because they seem to never learn or wise up to them, and that makes the rest of us look gullible too, by association.
As you say, you are allowed some leeway, as he obviously chose you to troll because of your beginner status. That was another dead give away that it was trolling activity and not pure disliking, as I doubt he would have come after someone more experienced.
Just remember, the best reply is
no reply. You keep your dignity that way, and he doesn't get his limelight.
🙂
