Two things...who uses it, and is it worth me getting? I'd only use it to talk to people on here. I won't ask what it is or how it works or anything, even though I've no clue. I can go find that out from wherever I download it. I just wanna know if I'll have folks to talk to.

I think its basically like Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger. I have heard good things about it though I have never tried it. 🙂

it basically works the same as yahoo messenger, like kurch said, but the video and voice chat is a lot better on skype.

Skype is absolutely worth it. Makes conference calling super easy. Get it.

Skype is EPIC! I would never had been able to actually TALK to my friends over in the states without it. You should definitely get it. 😀
