Songs You Love (but won't admit to anyone... until now)

2 songs come into mind, one is "I wanna know what love is" by foreigner, and Kung-fu fighting. Cracks me up every time
 
Hey, Natch! The Rolling Stones tried to hop on the disco bandwagon with the ridiculous "Emotional Rescue". Leave the falsetto singing to The BeeGees, Mick.
 
There are a couple I really like, and I don't know either one of the artists, but they are "Never Want to Fall in Love Again" and "The Diary". I burst into tears hearing either of them. I like a lot of Manilow's and Denver's stuff, too. (Rocky Mountain High, Thank God I'm a Country Boy, Country Roads) You get the idea. I have a couple of Billy Joel albums, and I think q-ball has every album The Grateful Dead ever released! I believed I mentioned somewhere that I also love barbershop quartet music (used to sing in one).

Double T, "Diary" is by Bread. Now, 'I'll Never Fall In Love Again" is by Dionne Warwick... "Never Gonna Fall In Love Again" is by Eric Carmen, who also sang "All By Myself". I don't know if either of those is the one you're referring to... it may be neither of them. Another guilty pleasure of mine... "Afternoon Delight", by The Starland Vocal Band. I love vocal harmony. I sang in a Doo Wop group a few years back.

Hey, sue me, but I like "Dancing Queen," by Abba. That song reminds me of a certain period in my childhood and I get chills every time I hear it.

But this is not the first time I've admitted that I like the song. I admit it all the time. I got together with an old friend one night, and for some reason we started talking about we both liked some of Abba's old songs.

Those harmonies, man, those harmonies! I don't remember whether it was Gene Simmons or Alice Cooper, but one of them admitted to loving ABBA's music. And get this, of all the Kiss songs there are, my favorite is the near- Disco sounds of "I Was Made For Loving You".
 
I'd like to hear "Weird Al" Yankovic parody that one as, "Breath". "Breath, you've got me heavin'..." Another song that makes people laugh but which I find extremely beautiful is "Lovin' You", by the late Minnie Riperton. She hit those high notes long before Pariah Carey came along.
 
I like Ashlee Simpson's "Pieces of Me" and Coal Chamber's "Loco". They're like the songs no one I know would expect me to like. Oh oh, and Rod Stewart, especially "Maggie May" and "The First Cut is the Deepest."

You know my all time song that always brings tears to my
eyes which I sing Karaoke is " The rose " by bette mitler..
I also love Kiss,beth is one of my faves too but I also
love "black Diamond,strutter, dr love, hey I have been into
Kiss since I was like 12 and I just went to see their most
recent concert here !but that was like the 8th time I had
seen them in concert..

These are songs we're embarrassed to admit that we like, right? Ok, the song "Rio" by Duran Duran is kind of catchy. Here're some other questionable songs that I like: We've Got The Beat (GoGos), Shout (Tears For Fears), Ring Of Fire (Johhny Cash), Ready To Go (Republica), Gangsta's Paradise (Coolio), Kiss From A Rose (Seal), Wicked Game (Chris Issac), Children (Robert Miles), Suspicious Minds (Elvis), Shot Through The Heart (Bon Jovi). I could probably think of more if I tried real hard...


Those are songs that you like to pretend you don't really like when they come on the radio, but secretly you'd love to just to crank up the radio and sing real loud. Remember that scene from "Tommy Boy?"

i could go to an elton john or billy joel concert and sing along with every song, but i pretend like i don't listen to their music when i am with my friends.
 
Oh, yeah, I forgot about Elton. He's a weird guy, but some of his old music is really good.

Elton's best - Tiny Dancer, Someone Saved My Life Tonight, and Rocket Man

I absolutely love this line from Tiny Dancer - "Ballerina, you must have seen her...dancing in the sand!"
 
Let's see.I'm a huge hair metal fan,I love Poison,Quiet Riot,Winger,Warrant,Skid Row,etc.

I might as well admit this as well,seeing as this seems to be the place for it,I own all 4 Britney Spears albums.
