She is an awesome young woman -- tall, confident, smart and funny. However, the soles of her feet are delightfully sensitive and ticklish, and worse, she once made the mistake of conceding that she has always been embarassed by the size of her feet. She knew that this gig involved her feet being the subject of mockery, but I don't think she was quite ready to have those big soles humiliated, tickled and iced by Scarlett! After the gig she commented on how, err, effective a job Scarlett had done, and I think it might have got to her a little!
A funny story from production -- we had started the day shooting SAKURA, a size 7 Japanese girl, and we had set up the purple rope on the table edge to trap Sakura's ankles. It worked really well and we just pulled the chair back and Scarlett and I were able to get Sakura out. We did the same thing for Chloe, just dropping the loop over her two feet, then sliding the chair forward to trap her. Then Pamela came along! She put those big dogs up on the table in her enormous Steve Madden ballet slippers and Scarlett and I began the job of getting that loop over those shoes and feet! How we struggled! Scarlett even said, oh my God, this is not going to work, and I could see that Pamela was squirming with embarrassment even before the formal "ordeal" had begun! It was so funny!
