Well that's the way with the more fanatical pro-lifers. In this particular instance they believe that the instant an ovum is penetrated by a sperm, it's a human life and should be afforded all the rights a grown human is. Taking something that irritates the womb-lining to prevent it from attaching, is seen as murder through deprivation. I gather they see it as equivalent of locking a five year old child in it's room and leaving it to starve to death.
