I had to say that because that's also something that has changed - it's not just that women are against wearing them, they'd revolt if they had to wear them to work, but don't seem to complain that bad agianst any other garment or outfit.
I'm also amazed that they've even retconned history, from mostTV shows, HOllywood movies, photo shoots....... They'll have a movie set in the 80's or 70's, and not ONE women is wearing nylons, even though amost ALL women wore them back then. They'll have a bunch of flight attendants or secretaries, all in authentic period clothing...but bare legged. Flight attendants TODAY still wear nylons.
And that's my question - women wore them, all the time, everywhere, for DECADES, until the early to mid 90's. Then it was an abrubt end. But....if they were that horrific, why wasn't there a rebellion somewhere along the 1950's?
You could say "culture," but the late 60's and 70's, women attacked all manner of customs.....but started wearing pantyhose MORE in the 70's and then 80's.
But men still love them. The rare woman (and I mean DAMN RARE woman who wears them usually turn all kinds of heads that I've seen.) There's a Youtube channel with pretty girls sitting in pantyhose talking about....pretty much nothing, but the channel views are in the 300,000's and over. If they were NOT wearing pantyhose, there views would be in the 10's, trust me.
And even still, in many other countries, women wear them all the time, and some have expressed disdain at American women for NOT wearing them. Those women certaily haven't rebelled against them, they don't have to wear them either.....
So....just wondering........(I"m thinking it may have something with me having to ask the women not to go ape-shit.
Something has definitely changed in American society.
People have become jaw droppingly, awe-inspiringly, undescribely thin skinned, which was NOT how it was in the 80's or earlier. Yeah, people had problems with things, but Jesus, something has changed in America like you wouldn't believe. (that can certainly be another thread!) )
