Last night I was cruising around the forum when my screen became very blurred. I checked a few other sites and it was not just the TMF, so I turned my computer off and let it rest overnight. Things are much better today but I do see a slight "ghost" image to the right of everything. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

I'm not a technical expert, but.. it sounds like your monitor could be having a problem.. or could be failing.

Before I got this computer, when I had my old IBM non internet computer, I would have blurred images, and a discolored screen, and each time it happened, I was told by a technician that my monitor was failing. On two occasions, I had to replace my monitor.

I don't know if what I described in the same thing, but it's the most logical thing that came to my mind.

Hope that helps.

Mitch

Sounds like a monitor issue. If you are having no problems with the internet then that is the most likely thing.

Yeah, sounds to me like your monitor is getting old.

My monitor is maybe three years old. Its a Dell. But yeah, that must be it. Right now the "ghost" images are gone. Looks like I'll be heading to WalMart tomorrow. 😡

I've been expecting this. You really need to come up with something new. :punt:

It's possible that you may need to degauss it, if it's a full-sized monitor. Play around with the settings on the monitor to see if degaussing is an option.
