Just when I thought my life was going rather well, I've become incredibly stressed and tired these past couple of months. In university, I'm falling behind work because of committments to my part-time job, tennis club captain at university, and recording a track for a local CD. It's given me very little time to finish off any requests, so I have to tell people that I AM NOT TAKING REQUESTS ANY MORE, and the stress is also taking its toll on my skin condition as well. Hell, I don't even come here as regularly as I'd like to either...

On the plus side, the chances that the track I'm featuring in is likely to make the CD, I helped improve the tennis team with my management by getting them on a winning streak, I've earned over £1200 in two months just for working 22 hours a week, and I'm finding it easier to go to sleep as well! But seriously, I've taken up too many things at the same time once again, and I think I may be paying for it... maybe another year in university... oh dear...

Just wanted to get things off my chest...

I know how you feel, Chimp-meister. Trying to cram too many things into life, and running yourself to death trying to do all of them. Seems to be happening so often these days.

I hope you find a balance. Another year at uni would be royally annoying.

Hey, chimpy, Iam sorry to hear you are feeling so stressed. I hope you get things under control real soon. Good Luck, hopefully you can pay a visit to the chat some time. We miss you! Take care!

You're far too young to feel like I do, Chimp...

After this last semester at Uni I know the feeling too. And to think I actually thought I was taking it easy (was doing 3 subjects instead of the normal 4). I kept the normal hours at work... only committed myself to a few things... but things started expanding.

As part of my course I wrote some music with the other composition students for a drama production. No sweat. Give them the music, they'll learn it.. .it'll be good. First problem was that most of them are Drama students as opposed to musicians... but that wouldn't have been a problem if they recieved the music in good time (we gave them the music in good time, they just didn't get it).

So we had to spend a little more time rehearsing with them... no biggie since I wasn't the main muso... until the main muso's car broke down and he lived an unfortunate 4 hour public transport trip away. I became the piano player for 10 - 10 rehearsals. Then more time somewhere else, I didn't actually get time to study for one of my exams cause I working on my final composition, which I was literally composing during the performance at one time. I brought a laptop (I needed it for things in the production too) and when ever they didn't need me for a minute or two in a rehearsal or the actual performance, I muted everything and started writing furiously.

I was quite amazed really. I wrote a huge piece in a very short space of time and in rather strange circumstances and even got a fantastic mark for it.

Though I managed to stay un-stressed under quite a fair bit of pressure and still even managed to enjoy much of it... I'm not sure how I'm going to go next semester when I'll probably be doing a full load.
