As we have seen in this thread http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?t=191872 there has been a lot of controversy stirred up by recent comments to producers in the Video/Audio Clips sub-section. Not the first time it has happened either.

Well here is a solution. Why don't the moderators set this sub-section, so that only the producers who have a clip to promote/sell can post to it (i.e No Replies allowed to the original post).

This will stop:
1) People making insulting remarks to the producer, or about the clip.
2) All those sycophants (who I find equally offensive) filling the post with replies like: "way to go Tommy" or "you got her good Skel" or "what's her shoe size Viper".
3) Old threads/clips being constantly bumped up, so that all new clips from producers have a fair crack of the whip at the top of the front page.

Not difficult surely. I would imagine all that would be required would be the producer to send his post to the moderator, who himself would post it on to the locked Video/Audio clips sub-section.

Or do we all prefer the flame wars instead ?

Are those the two choices? Total censorship and control over the most viewed sub-forum on the TMF or flame wars?

Just my little opinion...but I don't think it's a smashing idea. If there are mean people on this forum, they'll find another sub-spot to be mean. There will always be problems in a community like this, and there will always be threads that address those problems.

I hope we never go for taking away anyone's ability to comment since it's kinda the whole point of an internet forum.

Good topic for discussion though.

I think that's a bad idea. Feedback on videos is helpful... be it positive or constructive negative to both the producer and the community at large.

Usually I'd disagree with this idea, but I'm inching more and more to agreeing!

Sometimes threads get derailed with some off topic but somewhat related discussion about some average or crappy clip, and then a real jem comes along...and gets shoved 3 pages down because it doesn't allow for stupid insults/derailing. I remember two threads especially, one with Avril from Czech Tickish Girls getting tickled in that attic, and Elizabeth from Tickle Haven being tickled hogtied in pantyhose...things being equal and fair, BOTH those threads should have gotten 12 pages of glowing praise, but they quickly got shoved down because of the usual other thread's useless comments.

Two, the thread bumping is getting fucking ridiculous. Some of us used to get annoyed when TIB/TIW kept bumping his threads, some from 3 or 4 YEARS ago, answering inane comments 2 YEARS later, just to bump an old thread, with utterly useless comments "Don't her toes look nice!?" or even sentences that made no sense, just to bump his threads.
Now, sadly, and I mean sadly, because I like the producer's videos who are doing it....but come on guys, answering your own comments, or posting "Thanks!" a year and a half later ????!!!!!!!!!!!

It's unfair to those who have filmed new clips, to have their new material that deserves to be at the top, to be quickly shoved to the back, two or three pages back, so some guy can post a nothing comment to try to soak some more cash out of a forgotten clip.

As more and more producers resort to this, fewer and fewer clips will be produced, which is happening now, because, why bother filming new clips when you can just repeatedly bump your older stuff ad infinitum?
And, obviously, this will quickly turn into chaos, have 7 or 8 bolded pages of "new" clips to sort through to try and find out what's ACTUALLY new.

This pissed me off, because marcusb is right - producers need to hear legitimate, constructive criticism or praise, from people who have purchased the clips, so the fans can see what's popular - usually, GOOD, and so the producers can see what works and what doesn't. If too many producers are doing the "forced orgasm with a vibrator clip" and calling it tickling, and no one is able to complain and ask "Where's the damn "tickling" and "laughter" in this "Tickling" clip?!!!" the producers will just keep making those! Or overuse or underuse of stocks, hogtied, bad plots, etc.

An obvious good rule of thumb, expressed by someone long ago, was that producers should only be able to respond to older thread with new content - NEW, high quality pictures (not screen grabs) or VERY worthy new information, ie: "This girl will be returning Monday for another shoot."
And if they abuse that by lying, start locking their threads!

This is a tough one, because it's lately becoming chaos. Lately I've noticed only a few new clips, and the rest of the page, and next one, all thread bumps with nothing said worthy of said thread being bumped.

It's not fair to the guy or girl who just shot and editted all week to be shoved behind someone trying to milk a 4 year old clip for a few more bucks.
