While driving to a friends, I stopped at a K-Mart in some small nameless little town. They were playing a song called "pink shoelaces" which is apparently from 1959 (OVER 50 YEARS AGO). What's more when I inquired to the manager about the music he proudly told me they had kept the music intercom in their store since it was 1st installed in 1937. Talk about the past making a come back. LOL.

Wow,that's amazing!Normally, businesses would have had to replace such systems because they broke.

Apparently the manager just kept on having it repaired instead of replacing it with a newer system.

I have an electric razor from the early seventies that i bought when i was in highschool..and it still works today..puts the last few tv sets we bought to shame..also i have a baby patta burp from the sixties that still burps today..hehe

What (dare I ask?) is a "baby patta burp"?

lol Rick..a baby patta burp is a regular doll..hmm you know a baby doll..but this one burps..you pat the back or push and after three pats, the baby burps..and she still burps today..

antiques..ack..i'm an antique lol.

Old people are weird. Makes me think of that episode of Everybody Loves Raymond where Ray tries to get his dad a CD player and his dad hates it on the basis that it's not a record player.

Perhaps, but old people have better sense than to waste their time watching Everybody Loves Raymond. 😉

What's your idea of a good show? Cheers? Who's the Boss? Full House? HA! :stickout

I don't even particularly like Raymond. It's ok from time to time but the typical "Man stupid Woman smart! Husband wrong Wife right!" comedies annoy me.

God, you and me both. I like Ray Ramano, but jeez, it's like they aren't even trying in that show!

I love The Golden Girls.I am like obsessed with that show I watch it every night and sometimes during the day.Whenever I have anxiety for some reason that show helps me get through it.

I love how Betty White has this whole third career-life going as a sexagenarian sex vixen these days! :cool

I love old/obsolete stuff from 50s-70s etc; vintage comic books, action figures, furniture, rugs, rotary phones, old books, stereo systems that looked like furniture, record players (not a big 8-track fan though I have several 8-track tapes) Manual typewriters, 8mm movie projectors...

I laugh every time I see an old "Airstream" trailer (the big silver twinkies) Someone actually owns a real nice one less than 2 miles from my place! And I LOVE older peoples' houses where time has barely progressed: wood-grain TV sets, paneling on the walls, ugly green kitchen appliances, bakelite radios with one speaker....

Maybe this is why I'm hooked on "The Venture Brothers"

Despite being born in 1989, I love anything from the 80s. Stuff from the 70s looks pretty cool too.

Yes! I saw one of those old Airstream trailers just the other day and was instantly filled with WANT!

Ditto for just about all the other things you mentioned.
