Whats your thoughts on em, do you have any? If so of what, or have you always wanted to get one, and if so of what?

Me I have 3,

1. Japanese Char on my arm that translates to "Way of the Warrior"
2. A Self designed Tatt on my upper shoulder that wraps around to my chest, of people who are important in my life, as well as things important to who I am
3. A memoral Catholic wooden cross in memory of my late Grandfather on my other arm

I love tattoos. I have the Wheel of Chaos tattoed on my chest, and hope to get more in the future

I don't have any as of yet, but down the road I'd like to get a crow tattoo.

As for my thoughts of people who have'em, I really do like them as long as they're meaningful and thought out. Nothing screams 'stupid' more than a useless, generic tattoo.

@Blackestlily Oh I know that feeling, 3ish years ago when I was getting the last bit of touch-ups on my Grandfathers memoral Tattoo, some guy was waiting for his artist, an trying to be friendly an start a convo I ask what he was getting, his response "Barbedwire around my arm" , my thought "Wow..orginal...an this dude is WAY to scrawny to have barbedwire..that tends to be reserved for guys who go to the gym WAY to much"

My best advise is honestly to think long an hard if an idea for one comes to yea, cause once its done its there forever unless you want to spend 5times the money and pain to have it removed. My three I have, I didnt just go to a parlor point at a pic an said "I want that one" I thought long an hard about what I want. All mine have special meaning. An if someone asked me if I regret any of em, I'd say "Hell no!" If yea get something, get something that means alot to you

You surely can't go wrong by tattooing the name of your 2-week girlfriend on your ass!

In all seriousness though, I've never been a rabid fan of tattoos. But then, I'm a little on the insecure side at the moment. Perhaps later on, but not now. x)

I have three:

-Snail shell on the back of my right shoulder.
-Japanese character of the good in humanity on my left calf.
-Ninjette on the back of my right shoulder.

Most people who get one or two tattoos pick stuff that is deep and meaningful. As time goes on, people who get lots of tattoos tend to think of them as a life's scrapbook. As long as you're confident and not embarrassed about them, there's nothing wrong with anything you get. For example, my Ninjette tat. It's a geek tattoo. It's out of a comic book. So what? Yes, I'm a geek. Yes, I love comics and video games. And beyond that, the artwork on that tat is F*$%ING incredible. Does that make sense?

tattoos are damn addicting!!!! i've got 2 currently:
-coast guard emblem on my right shoulder
-cross with a heart and ribbon that says 'dad' on the left

thinking of getting another on my lower back, 2 dolphins.

Tattoos are neat. They make it easy for me to judge a person immediately - not based on whether or not they have any, but what tattoos they chose. Some are so cheesy, lame, and generic, that it lets me know right away that I won't like someone, without the hassle of having to talk to them first! 😀

I have two:

the first are my initials on the inside of my wrist
the second is a treble clef behind my left ear.

I have a cello tattooed on the inside of my wrist. Half of it is made out of a bass clef. Love it. Want more.

"A woman getting a tattoo is akin to having a gold medal bronzed."

Every time I see a beautiful building or a great painting I always think " mmm that would look so much better with some graffitti sprayed over it."

I don't mind tattoos. But I'm picky about what I like.

I do have one on the inside of my right forearm that says, in German; "No Pity For The Majority".

I guess in a fucked up way, it's an ode to my marriage and the shit that went along with it.. & that I'm working to move past that.

In five decades on this planet I have been born with and aquired many serious bumps, scars, and burns. I guess I consider these marks as tattoos. And when I entertain the thought of maybe getting a real ink job I see this guy around town and remember a talk we had over several beers one hot afternoon. I asked him, "Why the wire tattoo around your neck? What does it symbolize?" He answered, "Me being stupid."

I have a tribal style dragon on my forearm. My friend drew it. There are two other people in the world with the same tattoo. I regret nothing.

I have a tribal style drawing of a crescent moon in a red sky on my shoulder. I drew that one myself.

I was raised to think having a tattoo was wrong. No one in my family had one and many of my relatives considered tattoos to be stupid. Then my cousin got a tattoo and my family's reaction was pretty severe, but he has gotten more since his first and all of them are pretty cool and my family's attitude has softened somewhat.

Anyway I've always been intrigued by tattoos and have considered getting a tattoo, but I am extremely paranoid about getting one that I'll end up hating. A tattoo should be something that is thought out and will be something that when you're 50 you still love and not regret. So I've give it a lot of thought and I am seriously considering getting a tattoo for my birthday. I just need to find someone who could draw what I have in mind because I can't find any tattoo pictures online that is even remotely like what I have in mind.

Make sure to get one that still looks excellent on saggy, old people skin.

I have a chinese symbol tramp stamp that translates to beef with broccoli, a butterfly on my ankle, and my zodiac sign on my wrist. Like... how originallllzzz!

But for real, I have four. A few celtic symbols and a quote that have special meaning to me.

Make sure to get one that still looks excellent on saggy, old people skin.

lol because saggy old skin would be absolutely beautiful, if it just were not for the tattoo, right?

I'm curious as to why so many people who dislike tattoos feel a need to be condescending about it. Surely you can just not get a tattoo and leave it at that?

My fave tatoo story is about a friend of a friend who got a beautiful tat in chinese script done on the back of his neck while on holiday in Hong Kong .On his return his mates asked him what it meant and he replied " It means Strong in body mind and spirit " to which his mates said " How the fuck do you know that .You cant read chinese, for all you know it could say 'Chicken fried rice, cantonese style' .Our hero has hated that tatoo ever since and has aquiered the nickname of Chinky.
