Dr. Zhivago

The Ten Commandments.

I haven't seen any of those. :|

I'm terribly ill-informed when it comes to movies. Maybe I can learn something here.

2. Back to the Future
3. Forrest Gump
4. Amadeus

Kurchie's Top Five

1) 2001: A Space Odyssey
2) Pi
3)) Monty Python: In Search Of The Holy Graille
4) AI
5) The Fifth Element

2001: A Space Odyssey

Taxi Driver

Spirited Away

Annie Hall

Shawshank Redemption

I haven't seen all five on anybody else's list so far.

Good lord, I never thought I'd say this, but it looks like I need to spend more time watching movies.

Krush Groove

Beat Street

The Boondock Saints

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Transformers: The Movie ('86 version, people!)

The King & I (1956)

My Top 5:

Glengarry Glen Ross

The Thing (1982)

Zodiac

Jaws

Pulp Fiction

I would have recommended The Shining, GoodFellas, or The Mist, but not everybody can handle that level of intensity.

Guhhhhhhhhhhhh SO MUCH WIN IN THIS POSTTTTTT. :bubbleheart:

Some of my favorites have been mentioned. Rather than repeat them I'll list 5 films that would be on my essential list.

Fantasia. (1940)

For Whom the Bell Tolls. (1943)

From Here to Eternity. (1953)

Inherit the Wind. (1960)

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. (1962)

LOVING some of the flicks that have been mentioned thus far. 😀

My "Top 5" may change slightly from time to time ; but as I sit here & type this now , these are the ones I'm comin' up with :

- Chinatown

- The Godfather

- The Godfather Part II

- Miller's Crossing

- Pulp Fiction

Donnie Darko
Repo: the genetic opera
Nightwatch(russian)
The wrestler
Grandma's BoY

My favorites include but are not limited to:

Psycho (the 1963 original, not the remake or sequels)
Head (the Monkees' pre-video video)
Yellow Submarine
J-Men Forever
Dirty Harry

Okay I'll bite, here a few of my tops:

1. Ghost World
2. Gone With the Wind
3. Wall-E
4. Toy Story Trilogy
5. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

(Okay so I know a trilogy really is 3 movies and whatever but you can't watch one and not watch the other 2.)

3. Wall-E

I was super skeptical about this movie when it first came out. But I absolutely adore it. :bubbleheart:

And there are SO many of my friends that get down with LoTR, that I'm probably going to have to end up watching it. I'm a HP fan, and have heard so much hysterical dogging on LoTR that it has mostly deterred me from wanting to see it.

Krush Groove

Beat Street

The King & I (1956)
