I don't keep it a 'secret', but I also don't go around broadcasting it to people. People I date know, and the women I've tied up and tickled know (obviously), but no one else in my life really knows. Not out of shame, but out of my own personal privacy.

Generally, it's a need to know basis kinda thing, and only those I want to play with need to know. It's a bit different now though because 2010 was my first NEST and first year I've really done A LOT of tickling that wasn't under false pretenses or sneak attack for a few seconds type deal. not only that, but feeling the need to hide something from people, especially if it is sexual in nature can be looked upon as kind of creepy. If you are nonchalant and upfront about it, it wont be nearly as weird to others than if you keep it hidden and it is found out later.

Totally...it's like a politician being upfront about drug use or fooling around: being upfront defuses the issue; lying about it makes it an issue.

I think I mentioned this to you before, for me it really deends on how comfortable and confident I feel with that person in trusting them enough to tell them about it. When it comes to being in a relationship it is a nerve wrecking thing to come out with but it would have to come up in conversation otherwise I will never talk about it. Not that I feel ashamed of it but I have had an experience where I told someone and he looked at me like I just farted. So that didn't go down too well. But I do in time tell someone when the time's right. I used to keep my trap shut about it, until I began hanging out with the local kink community. Even now I rarely bring it up since most of our interaction is in vanilla settings, but there are folks who are well aware that I enjoy it.
