I was watching my usual Mike and Mike in the morning when a story broke in that TO was not taken last night to the hospital for a allegic reaction.
It seems from early reports that he tried to commit suicide, at least from reports from Dallas and police reports.
Im sure this news will be changing, but are there any thoughts?
And remember, what ever you think of TO remember he is a human being, and oboviously has some problems, so try to keep some decorum please.

Rob

I just hope that if he did try to kill himself that he lives and gets help.

I know, I know, I'm not in the man's head, so I can't say what's going on with him. And on the one hand if this is true then I hope he gets some help and gets his life sorted out.

On the other hand, I was hoping that he'd get some help and get his life sorted out way before this. Know what I mean? For someone with so much he acts like it's so little.

I think I may have actually spotted the cops and paramedics that were on the way to him on the highway last night. If he did try to kill himself, I hope he gets help. If not, if I was him I would sue the DPD if I could.

Well, apparently, being a millionaire is hard work :sowrong:
The guy's had mental problems for years...
XOXO

This is stunning. I hope he gets help ( if this wasn't a publicity stunt ) that he needs. This is really terrible news. I truly hope he gets better and back out on the field soon.

I think the media once again is goin crazy at this chum in the water

Dont think he attempted, i believe his story, no reason not to

I hope all the best for him. I dont think it was a suicide attempt, when your recovering from any injury you take any pain killer you can get and while doing your making sure your still taking the "supplements" you were on before so your body is still use to them and that you dont fall behind on the program.

This again just looks like the media wants to crucify him and will use any story and blow it up.

terrell owens did not attempt to commit suicide. this is the media getting another story from owens and the police being a bunch of knuckleheads. they did a police report while he was still intoxicated with the drugs. the media stirred up a story, the police stirred up a story, and it wouldn't have even been that big of a deal if it wasn't owens.

this story is amazing. first, it is good to see that TO the human being is okay. honestly, i figured it wasnt a suicide attempt, it is not a "cry for help". it is a simple misunderstanding that caused this media circus.

however, a friend of mine at work said that if TO did commit suicide, he would blame the media....entirely. i dont agree with this. it would be a combination of the media AND TO. TO created this monster, the media feeds into it and because of their lack of morals, will come up with outrageous stories and will blow anything out of proportion, like today.

so what do you think? would the media be ENTIRELY responsible for TO's hypothetical depression?

Another thing is were talking about T.O, he has to be one of the most mentally strong people in the world.

While I agree with you german and you primetime the fact is TO can't seem to stay out of the limelight. I truly believe this to be a publicity stunt. Think about it a call to 911 when he is only a mile away from the hospital. Also guys he took vicaprofen. Sadira takes vicaprofen for migraine headaches. Fact is he claims it did not mix right with his suppliments. WRONG!!! Sadira is a nurse and there is no known suppliment out there that would give you a bad reaction with vicaprofen. Now the only thing that we can think of is either he overdosed ( as in one or two extra pills not 35 as stated ) or he was taking other drugs or drinking alcohol. Then he tell EMS that he was trying to hurt himself. But then he tells the media that he never said that. Then in that same statement he claims he doesn't remember what was going on because he was incoherent. So if he were incoherent then how does he know what he told EMS??? I think TO is lying. I think this is a stunt and yes the media will drum it up because he is TO. That is to bad. Because the jerk doesn't deserve the time of day and as I said before week#1 started Bill Parcells nightmare season begins and now it is a full blown reality. If you believe he could have had a reaction to the drugs guys then that is fine. But EMS claims he was hurting himself and he says he never said that in the press conference. But in the same press conference he claim he was incoherent. Somewhere in here guys he is lying. That is a damn shame that a great coach as Parcells is has to babysit such an idiot.

i agree, TO is an attention hog and it is amazing that some people think maybe the media is truly the "evil" in this whole saga.

my point is this. if you created the monster (the media), and you wont change your image to help destroy the monster, then whatever negative press you get, you cant complain.

if you saw Bill Parcells reaction, i think he is already fed up with the whole TO situation. even if TO is innocent (he's not...), Parcells must hate that every damn press conference he is in is about TO. i figure he must have been candid with Jerry Jones and told him that TO needs to go. but, Jerry will not let him go just yet because he would look stupid.

TO just needs to retire and go away. but he wont because he wont get attention. sad, really sad.

Do you realize what was being told to the world? That this man was trying to kill himself. Do you understand how serious that is? The entire thing began when the police report was obtained by the media. Then this thing blows up into something like this. And of course people like yourself will blame T.O. People like you letting your dislike of this man influence your opinion. This was not a publicity stunt and T.O. didn't lie. You're trying to tell me that he put his life in danger for publicity? He wanted publicity so much that he didn't even talk to the media yesterday. T.O. has put this behind him and so should you. As for Parcells, if you watch his daily conferences then you know he is often irratated by the media, even when their not talking T.O. How would you feel if you are trying to tell these people that you don't know anything on the subject but they continue to ask the same type of quesitons. He did exactly what I expected him to do when I heard they we bringing the news conference on ESPN. The only people who don't seem to think that there are problems with the Cowboys right now is the Cowboys organization and that's all that matters.

It's funny because the media are the ones who really wanted this to be true. Every since March 18, 2006 the media has been desperatley waiting for T.O. to do something so they could say "I told you so." All summer all tehy talked about was how T.O. didn't want to practice because he was out with a hamstring for 14 days. While all this was going on Steve Smith was in Carolina with the same injury and was out of practice for the same amount of time as T.O. during training camp. As a matter of fact Steve Smith was injured before T.O. And in Pittsburgh Hines Ward had the same injury and was also out. T.O.'s past antics have caused for the media to be all over him to see what will happen next. Now that they're not getting it they'll turn the smallest thing into a national story. Sometimes they'll even make mistakes and turn it into a huge event as they did Wednesday. Let's forget that the media is at fault for putting out false information before they get the truth just so they can have story. Let's also forgret that T.O. had his rights as a citizen violated when that police report was obtained and made public. The sad part is that people dislike this man so much that you'll blame anything on him.

Did the media call 911 or was that one of TO's posse??? Did the media separate the pills or was that TO to give his posse the impression that he OD'ed??? You are blaming the media for a moron's judgement. That is not fair either. And don't tell me that TO isn't loving this. He loves the attention. He is an attention *****. That is what TO's life is about now. How can I put myself into the spotlight. Fiend_05, I have a lot of respect for you but TO is a cancer and it is that simple.

spoken like a true Cowboy fan...

listen, whether TO tried to commit suicide or it was accidental or whatever, this type of circus WILL ALWAYS BE THERE because of TO. because of what he has done in his career, any LITTLE thing he does will be blown out of proportion. something simple like "TO stubs his toe in the shower and he did it because he didnt want to practice" will be National news. TO and the Cowboy organization has to realize that when TO was signed, the circus that TO created was going to follow. no matter how insignificant the infraction is, it will be all hell breaking loose. all this talk about "we are tired about talking about TO" crap from the Cowboy organization is ridiculous because when they signed him, they KNEW there was going to be unprecedented media coverage.

you talk about Steve Smith and Hines Ward. yes, they had the exact same thing as TO, BUT what is the difference between those two and TO? exactly, TO's past behavior will always follow him.

is it fair? of course not, but then again, has TO done ANYTHING to repair his image, or is he still simply being TO? i cant feel sorry for the man if he isnt even trying to repair his image. TO should NEVER EVER complain about the media because he is the one who caused this chaos and until he decides to repair his image, he deserves whatever the media spews out, lie or not. he needs to destroy the beast he created, not play with it.

It isn't fair that people can't get past personal feelings for one day and show some compassion for another human being. You people speak like you know T.O. The only people who feel T.O. planned this entire thing are people who don't like him.

Spoken like a true T.O. hater...

Can you name one thing that T.O. has done to cause any problems in Dallas? Pull a hamstring? Who doesn't. Miss a team meeting? It happens. Accidentally overdose? Simple mistake. All these things are behind the Dallas Cowboys. What is T.O. to do to "repair his image?" And exactly who is he repairing it for?

Lucky his not a Raider, we have our own problem receivers at the moment......but seriously the media was waiting for something like this from T.O, they the media crave him.

If it was any other player do you think "suicide" will be flashed around on newspapers or Internet articles before the whole story was out. Imagine if it was T.O flying around on a motorcycle with no helmet on, the media will be saying he has a death wish.

I just hope he gets back to doing what he does best.

Accidental overdose a simple mistake??? You are way too funny. What can he do to repair his image??? How about play football, produce and stop it with his stupid " fake " suicide and shut up. He can do those things. Who would he be repairing it for??? The Dallas fans. I have a brother who lives an hour from Dallas and they ( the fans ) and my brother ( who is a Cowgirl fan ) think he is the BIGGEST joke going. That comes from a Dallas fan close to the source. He needs to produce and shutup. That would be a start.

So even though his publicist and pastor told the police the similar accounts of what happened after they got to the hospital it's still a publicity stunt. This man wanted publicity so bad that he created this whole plan and had his publicist and PASTOR lie for him. Like this man wasn't in the spotlight already. Please. And so far since he;s been in Dallas all he's done is try to play football and win games. Has he said something controversial? Started a fight? What? He's played football. He's been a good teammate. So what has he done. Yeah and I'm sure that "they" think T.O. is the "biggest joke going." No matter what you or your brother think the majority of Cowboy fans are glad he is in big D and have been since day one. Shut up? Shut up about what? You just a hater.

I noticed that "Professional Apologists" accomplish very little in the world as well... :whip:

again, spoken like a blind Cowboy fan....

TickleFiend, if you read my post thoroughly, i am simply trying to tell you that TO brings the "circus" to town. the Cowboys are already a media haven, now, you got the biggest media clown on your team. like i said, whether his suicide attempt was intentional or not, the simple fact that he is TERRELL OWENS, ANYTHING and i mean ANYTHING he does will bring major attention. he could have a hangnail and the media will claim he is just trying to avoid practice. listen to me, the point i am making is that because of TO's past antics, ANYTHING he does will draw major attention and cause a major distraction on the other players.

think about it. if you are a Dallas Cowboy player, you WILL be asked by some pesky media reporter about TO. nothing about the game you played, but about TO. over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. you dont think that will annoy the living hell out of the players? TO is a distraction. period. remember the cycling outfit? to me, it was funny, but again, because he is TO, that little joke will be frowned upon and made a bigger deal than it truly was.

how does TO repair his image? how about working with kids? how about going into New Orleans and help build some houses? how about going into the communities and helping there or any other charities? people will think it is a publicity stunt, but the more he does it, sooner or later, the media will turn towards him in a positive sense and the circus will end. you cant keep blasting a player who is a positive force in the community. TO can gather POSITIVE press for a change and that will end this media "beast" that surrounds him now. it makes the Cowboy organization a more "subdued" place, it will help TO get away from the crap that is going on about him now, and it will let the rest of us go about our daily NFL lives without having to worry about what TO does next.

to answer your question, TO needs to repair his image FOR HIMSELF. get out of the negative spotlight and into the positive spotlight.
