That Old Saying...."I Don't Get Mad I Get Even"

Actually , it seems they get mad and try to get even . Does this point of view seem justified , the old "Even Steven" way of doing it , "You mess with me and I'm going to mess with you" ............. Or is it "Turn the other cheek"

I agree.....Karma is a bitch, I have always believed in Karma and what goes around comes around is such a true statement in most cases

In most cases, I'll do whatever is needed to get even. It really depends on the circumstances.

I've had some great fantasies about getting even during my life. Never actually acted on them. Ultimately figured doing so would put me on the same low level as the person who harmed me in some way, and I didn't want to be there. Took about 8 years but I did see my ex get what he dished out to me. In fact, he got it back 10 times worse! So, when he told me about it, I told him (1) I knew exactly how he felt and (2) I couldn't help feeling that he deserved it. All he could say was "I know." Since then even my fantasies for getting even with people have pretty much ceased. The universe will take care of things eventually.

I've always been a "turn the other cheek" type... this doesn't mean i won't come up with some pretty inventive ways to get even. Sometimes just listing all the fun ways to get back at someone makes me feel much better.

Leave it alone IMHO. Terrible things happen to the people who have wronged me and I love it. I don't have to lift a finger and could probably write a book documenting all the times it's happened. My friends who practice Wicca (I don't, at least not consciously) call me a "natural witch." Sometimes it takes a few years to kick in though, but I'm cool with that.

i think the universe pretty much takes care of things, im definitely a believer in karma, so i normally dont try to get even for petty stuff, it would have to be a pretty big offense for me to start plotting revenge. and as they say "the best revenge is living well"........
