God, I hate the cold! I've been iced in for the past 3 days, and trust me, it's not pretty. There's only so much you can do inside your house before you crack! My stupid car got stuck TWICE out there in the snow, and fortunately for me, guys with big trucks actually stop for damsels in distress :smilelove , so I was able to get it out both times.

Anyways, I was looking at the weather, and freakin Miami Florida is like 77 degrees...........Yep, it's official. I'm packing up my stuff and moving down there!

So.....does anyone know of something to do while sitting here in the house? I'm going CRAZY over here!

I'm in Central West Florida. Tampa Bay area.
It's pretty nice here in the winter. It gets cold at night & early in the morning, but for the most part it's between 65 - 80 degrees here.
Miami is MUCH hotter all year round.
I moved here from New York City in 2000 due to my job. I gotta tell ya, I was planning on moving to a warmer climate anyway. I hate HATE HATE the freezing cold weather.
So, come on dowwwwn . . .
 
i hear ya....we got hit with major ice here in michigan as well, the willow tree in my front yard lost some very large branches, and ive fallen on my ass twice now taking my dog out to do his thing, i hate ice storms.... its not melting very quickly either...... :ignite: :ignite: :ignite:
 
afraid it's almost sixty degrees here today..but rainy...rained all weekend and friday...

:wow: Why move to a warmer climat dont we all love the winter and cold weather it will get warmer soon anyway just wait a few months i am in the middle of sweden that would be about the same latitud as the north of canada and i dont complain lol you just got to be positive and deal with the cold there is no bad weather just bad clothes smile and everything will be ok :yowzer:
 
It's been raining here pretty much all weekend we might get some snow tonight but it wont amount to anything
 
Winter begins to exert itself seriously for the first time (Across large swaths of the country, anyway. Colorado has seen plenty of winter's force already). As one of the few who likes the cold, I welcome it, although I would have liked it to come in a less hazardous way. Too may have been injured and killed by this icy wave. 🙁 For those in states affected by the current system, stay safe and watch the roads if you must go out!

Still drizzly where HDS is, although the air seems to be cooling evermore as I speak. Perhaps some snow this week (No much, according to most every source. A mere dusting.).
 
it's great hearing from you, i been thinking about you and your problems, been there recently myself. i was wondering if you was ok, myself i'm still trying to decide if it going to be TX, New Orlean, or dominican republic co-worker said all they do is

eat
drink
dance

should be alot of soar ticklish feet needing to be rub. :firedevil
 
Hmmmm, crazy ice storms in the winter or hurricanes in the summer. That's gonna be a tough decision.

It's not been much better up here,three waves of sleet/freezing rain from Friday thru Sunday,with some snow thrown in for good measure.I'm ready to move also Tamia,shall i stop in Ok. and pick you up on my way south?😀
 
It has rained here almost everyday for two weeks. The ground is so saturated that the water has nowhere to go. Now it is suppose to be a rain snow mix all night and tomorrow with the temperature around 30 degrees for a high which means alot of accidents from early morning into Wednesday. It might actually snow by Thursday. At least no ice storms yet this year.

Hang in there,Tamia! I know ice storms are no fun,but it will warm up and things will get better!May I suggest curling up with a good read or catching up with old friends or making some new ones via computer? For God`s sakes don`t do any unnecessary driving! Fifteen deaths - such tragedy! It looks as though the storm should be about done your way now and coming through here tomorrow.I hope things get better soon,Tamia!

You sent the bad weather my way, and it was so cold today at my construction site that my nipples are still frozen two hours after work. Just for that I`m not going to do a striptease dance for you, Tamia. 😉

I drive a Dodge Stratus!!! Actually, I drive a Honda Civic...it sits really low, and I kept getting stuck on snowbanks in the middle of the road.

Hurricanes, Schmurricanes......I'll buy me a boat!

Tamia, I have a frozen nipple update....Everythings back to normal. :veryhappy I kicked up the furnace a few degree`s.
 
You bury yourself in a good book, Tam. A book that can escape to a different world in. Time moves very fast when you do that.
 
Ughhh every time someone mentions Florida all you hear are the hurricanes, hurricanes smurricanes. I was so sick and tired of the cold and winters and ice and crap that I finally after 33 years of living in that crap made the decision to move to Florida and it was the best damn decision of my life. Everywhere you live there are ups and downs, it's up to you what you are willing to deal with. Florida would welcome you with welcome arms Tamia 🙂

You could move to Maui, where the highs are at 85 and the lows are at 60.. aaaalllllll year round. and there hasn't been a hurricane here in almost 20 years
