Hello folks!
I’m pleased to announce that we are opening registration for the UNY III Gathering in Albany New York, Super bowl weekend in February!
UNY has grown a lot in it’s first two outings, becoming one of the communities biggest gatherings. Last year we had 55 people there over the weekend. This time we hope to see more of you! As many here will tell you, fun was had by all, and many new friendships were formed.
The gathering will be taking place in a vary nice Albany hotel where we have arranged to occupy most of a building unit, over the weekend of February 4th-6th 2011. Special rates for rooms have been arranged, and it’s even possible to book a room on Thursday and stay until Monday if you want to arrive early and stay late for extra fun with your friends. We have negotiated a great rate of $89.99 for the weeknights for the single rooms, and $114.99 per night for the suites! Gathering entry fee is a low $25 which will be used to pay for snacks, pizza and drinkables for the common area and food platters on Super Bowl night, and also the cost of our common suite. We invest all we make back into the gathering.
UNY is a very casual gathering where guests circulate between the common suite that we rent, and the rooms they and friends are staying in. Groups often go out for food to many local places, order in, or even cook in the rooms which have great kitchens. Some even go and marvel at the three story Wal*Mart!
We are opening registration now, as we want to give folks a lot of time to make plans, so we can have as many of our friends here for UNY III as possible.
