Hollywood actor George Clooney and British actress Dame Diana Rigg have come up trumps in a new poll of the 50 sexiest stars in television history.
The pair have shared first place in the US poll, which appears in this week's issue of TV Guide magazine in America.
Clooney, 41, became a household name after playing the dynamic Dr Doug Ross on the hit American series ER, while Rigg has appeared in a host of television series but is best known for her role as sexy Emma Peel in The Avengers.
Veteran actress Angie Dickinson, 70, placed third followed by Oscar-winner Denzel Washington in fourth spot.
Other Top 10 performers were Magnum star Tom Selleck, Charlie's Angel Farrah Fawcett, and Richard Chamberlain, who played Dr Kildare, and Kim Cattrall, 46, of Sex And The City.
But 49-year-old Piers Brosnan, the current James Bond who was last year voted the sexiest man alive by People magazine, only managed 24th spot.
His career began with the television show Remington Steele.
The list, compiled for the magazine's 50th anniversary celebrations, was put together by a panel of TV Guide editors.
"You had to be not just beautiful or cute to get on this list, but really sexy," said senior editor Robert Rorke.
"And then, because our list had to be comprehensive, covering the history of the medium, your image had to hold up over time.
"The contemporary people on this list had to transcend the buzz of the moment. So picking the final 50 became more exacting than any of us originally thought."
Dynasty stars Linda Evans and Heather Locklear placed 16th and 25th respectively, singer-actress Cher came in at number 13, and Don Johnson's role in Miami Vice earned him 13th spot.
More contemporary television stars named in the poll included Jennifer Aniston, who just won a best actress Emmy for her role as Rachel Green in Friends, at number 15, Dawson's Creek actress Katie Holmes at number 38, and Ally McBeal star Lucy Liu at number 46.
The editors obviously couldn't choose between the sexy stars of Baywatch - they placed all the women from the hit series at number 32 on the list.
