The alien abduction "test".

It takes time to organize these interplanetary deals!

Just remember, Audrey comes with or I shall think myself to unticklishness. 😛 I won't leave my doggy behind!

That was 30 EXTRA days

30 DAYS? Phooey.

added on to the 180 days of a normal tickle-indoctrination.

After that, you are assigned to one of us for long term tickle-integration into our interplanetary culture.

In your case, I would pull rank and get you assigned to myself! (Nyah hah ha!)

Well of course not!

We'll just run Audrey through the canine revjuvenator and make her a puppy again. Then we can train her to help us tickle you! (heh heh heh.)

Interesting I should see this topic just now, a friend on msngr showed it to me yesterday. I scored a 50%.

Kinda makes you wonder about some of those really weird dreams you've had, doesn't it! 😉

I have actually had two UFO sightings.

The first one was above my parents house. This lasted for a few seconds until it shape shifted into The Goodyear Weather Balloon, on its way back from Live Aid at Wembley in 1985.

The second remains unexplainable as a series of clouds kept flashing and lighting up one night, similar to the film Close Encounters.

No thunder, no rain 😕 . Hard to explain really, a sort of you had to have been there moment.

Lightning can happen without rain and can be in or above the clouds, which means you only see the light as it illuminates the cloud. Spooky as buggerey, not to mention dangerous to aircraft flying over the cloud in question.

Without thunder is a new one on me however.

Also a clear summer night, with only a few clouds dotted about here and there 😕

If the lighting is far away you can see it without hearing thunder. I've seen it happen before. That's why you're suppose to count the seconds between the flash and the thunder to judge how far away it is.

So where were the clouds that were lighting up?

Obviously; the speed of sound is slower than the speed of light. I was assuming the clouds in question were reasonably local for it to have been visibly obvious that the flashing was not normal.

So anyway as we seem to have a good mystery going here. The building I was looking out of, was probably less than a mile from the Thames (although the river wouldn't be viewable from it). So my only assumption at the time, was that it might have been one of those pleasure cruise /disco type efforts that you get in the summer, firing some sort of beam/searchlight/lasers at the clouds. However no beams were visible from ther ground up ?

I can say definately though it wasn't lightning. The best description I can give, and as I said the clouds were few and scattered, was of a giant invisible man standing behind them, turning on and off a flashlight. Also if I remember correctly no more than one cloud would light up at any given time. Anyway the whole thing, from when I started viewing it anyway, didn't last longer than five minutes.

Oh and I forget to mention, this all took place fourteen years ago, so don't expect perfect recall.

I think I was abudcted by aliens when I was 12.

Or it could have just been the results of a bad dream after having read The Communion.

Yeah, scariest book ever.

my uncle lives in the country. and one night he said there was the brightest light outside his window, and this huge noise. when he got up to look nothing was there..and once when i lived in a condo in bridgeport, i heard the loudest noise ever in the middle of the night and a really bright light coming through the window. i felt something was going to crash, when i looked out, nothing was there.. but i don't believe in aliens..so who knows what it was..

Sorry BigJim but where else would they be ?

You said the effect was like Close Encounters, which suggested to me a large bank of cloud flickering with light. Then you said the sky was nearly empty with just the odd cloud around. I'm missing a few details obv.

Let me just check our records here......

Nope, wasn't us. Must've been that book. :ermm: :idunno:

I was given Communion to read a while ago. Personally I thought it was crap. Too much dramatic writing and not enough subject matter and detail. Almost certainly because Whitley Strieber is a horror novelist by profession. I just didn't like the way it was written.

Well it is a long time since I saw Close Encounters, or my UFC's (Unidentified Flashing Clouds).

Anyway my previous post is the best I can come up with basically.

One day in the future, we should be able to put a USB plug in our heads, and be able to download exactly what we saw onto a PC (In fact when that technology comes in lets hope TIB is the first to try it).

I found the book Communion to be a bit of a mish mash, which seemed to keep repeating the same incident over and over again.

One thing you should check out though is the film FIRE IN THE SKY starring James Garner, based on the 'true' experience/story of a guy called Travis Walton. As a film it is pretty mediocre for 95% of the time. However the 5% bit where he is aboard the alien spaceship is not only the scariest thing I have ever seen, but I guarantee once you've seen it, you will never ever forget it.
