The Continous Story Thread

Ok easy thread. Everyone adds to the story either a few words or a sentence or a few sentences. Keep it nice and friendly. I will start us off...


Once upon a time in a place very very far away....

place there was a very lonely giant. Nobody wanted to talk to him because he was so big and scary yet he was a gentle giant. But nobody took the time to talk to him. So he was thinking of a way to get everyone not to be afraid of him...

So he wandered near and far. Wondering what he might do to get people to not be afraid of him. One day he wandered into a most magical place..

 

[Edge]

He could not believe what he saw but it was the most beautiful place he had ever seen. And everyone there seemed so happy. Finally his eyes saw those of the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. But before he could even take in her beauty a man yelled at the giant...

 

[kurchatovium]

...the man yelled this is private land. You are not allowed to be here in this most wondrous place. You must leave said the man...

 

[luvgirlsfeet]

The giant replied I haven’t done anything wrong. I wasn’t aware this area was off limits. May I stay briefly? I’ve traveled a long way and I’m tired

 

[kurchatovium]

The man looked into the giants eyes and saw nothing but kindness. He replied I shouldn't allow it but you can stay here to rest up before moving on again. Just please leave in the morning.

 

[Edge]

The giant agreed. But the reason the giant had traveled a long way is because he was on the run from people who were chasing him.

The giant thought at least i will be safe until morning but i must make plans on where to go from here. Perhaps I could ask around for another safe place to go..

 

[Edge]

That's when the giant spotted a mysterious looking individual who was eyeing the giant but was not even close to being half his size.

The giant spyed on the mysterious individual for some time. All of a sudden to the giants dismay the individual casted several magic spells. The giant knew at once the man was a powerful wizard and backed away slowly...

 

[Edge]

The giant was trying to hide as best as he could but being so big made it difficult. Suddenly he saw the magic man spot him and heard him say "You over there. Come here."

The giant was startled but was reassured when the magic man said "Don't worry I won't hurt you." The giant approached cautiously. The magic man said "I think I can help you"

 

[Edge]

The giant cautiously approached the magic man. He looked trustworthy. He asked the giant from a distance "You weren't always this size were you my friend? You look distraught. Do you wish to go back to normal size?"

...The giant sighed and said "yes you are right. I was cursed by an evil witch when I was younger.for taking food off her land cause I was starving. I tried to say I was sorry but she did not want to hear it. So she made me this enormous size"

 

[Edge]

The magic man looked at the giant and said "Tell me about this witch. Now that you have explained to me that you are cursed the only way to reverse it is to find this witch. I will come with you to find her if you let me know where she is."

Sad to say whe was from the Umbral realm. The world of Shadows. Not the nicest place in the world. Not sure how i wondered there but i shouldnt have thats for sure.

The giant had said to the magic man there’s a phrase that will summon the witch but I’m afraid I don’t remember how it goes. I think it starts with Sleeping flame I summon thee

 

[kurchatovium]

The magic man thought a bit and said "let me check some of my ancient texts. I suspect we are dealing with Dark Shadow Witch from what you have told me. Those are quite evil and we must be well prepared"

 

[Edge]

The giant second guessed himself in wanting to summon the witch after the magic man warned him of the danger. "Maybe we should wait to summon her until we get an army to help us or some weapons at least. I may be a giant but I am not the most brave."

 

[kurchatovium]

Hmmm said the magic man your are a smart giant if nothing else. I don't know about an army but I know some powerful wizard friends that would help us. I think that would be enough to defeat the witch.

 

[Edge]

Where are these wizards? Are they friends of yours? The Giant had a lot of questions for the magic man. He wondered if he could trust him though.

Yes the magic man said they are friends and associates . We all attended wizard school together and became fast friends. Don't worry my friend they are powerful wizards and good people as well.

 

[Edge]

What do you want from me, the giant asked. I know you must have a reason for wanting to help me. What do you need or want in return?

It is a long story said the magic man but I will make it short. Once I was in bad trouble and needed help. Some one helped and what he asked for in return is that I help ten other people in my life. You are number 7 as it turns out .
