The Continous Story Thread

The Giant grabbed much of the stuff they needed since he has the biggest arms and the group headed out. "Whenever you're ready Mortis I think we are ready."
 
Mortis said "Ok let had out of the inventor shack and I will cast the divination spell. I will mark on Xenos's map where the witch is. Then we head as quickly as possible"
 
The Group got out of the shack and looked at Mortis. The Giant was wondering what the spell would feel like. "Will we know when you've cast it?"
Maximus said "Don't worry you won't feel a thing...not like you're getting electrocuted or anything."
 
Mortmis said " Yea it's painless for everyone even the witch. We don't want her to know we know where she is. It's just a locating spell."
 
"Ok sounds good" said the Giant. "How far should we keep walking before you cast it?"
Maximus said "One good thing about being a sword is you don't have to walk."
 
Mortis said "Lets stop walking and let me cast it so I can tell you which way we need to go."

Xenos said "Ok sounds good. Get ready everyone things are about to get real"
 
The Giant held his breath a bit nervous. But didn't really feel anything happen as Mortis had promised. Maximus said "I think he did it."
 
Mortis said "She is in a cave system North of here. Great hiding place, sadly for us. We need to get her out in the open."

Xenos said "Definitely. Don't want to fight in a cavern system."
 
The Giant said "A cave system? Do you think it will be difficult to find her? Is it better we split up when we get there or stay together?"
 
Obsidian said "Dont worry abput the caves, Rocks are my thing. I will collapse the whole cave system on her. Likely its not goona be enough to kill her but she will have to come out in the open to fight us. Blasy her good when she does."
 
The Giant said "Wow I'm glad because I'm claustrophobic."
Maximus said "It figures."
 
Obsidian said "This should give us a tactical advantage. While the witch is getting our from the rubble we will have time to cast more spells when she gets out. Keep her on defense rather then have her unleash her offense. Still won't be easy dark shadow witches never are but I like having the edge at least at the start."
 
"Our plan can't fail." said the Giant.
"How far are we from the cave?"
 
Mortimis said "Its a great plan i agree. We are about 10 miles away so not exactly close but the quickest way there is all under cpve of brush and trees.:

Argentum added "Don't get overconfident. This will be a very hard fought battle. I know folks that battled Dark Shadow witches for months before winning. God willing ours won't take nearly that long."
 
The Giant said "10 miles."
Maximus said "Come on big guy 10 miles is not even half a marathon."
 
Xenos said "Makes sense she is trying to find a secure isolated spot from which she can cast splells. The place maybe fortified with all sorts of nasty beasties. We need to make it there fast though...."

Spreen said "I have speed of sound spell that will allow us to go fast... not quite as fast as sound but pretty darn fast. It will make 10 miles seem like a mile"
 
The Giant said "A mile sounds pretty fast. I wish I could be 10 times faster than I am."
 
Spreen said "well you can at least for a bit. The spell won't last forever but it will last long enough to get us there."
 
"Great." said the Giant.
Maximus said "Let's do this mile thing speedy friends."
 
Xenos said :"Yes the speed spell will help a ton. Should not take is long to get there"
 
"Ok." the Giant said as he started walking leading the way...
 
Spreen said "I am fasting the spell now. You will see a purple haze around the party when it dissipates we can depart. "

Spreen casts the spell and a purple fog forms then slowly dissapates.
 
Maximus said "So cool."
The Giant said "Looks like we're ready to head forward."
 
Maximus said "Let's make this witch our bitch."
