The Continous Story Thread

Argentum laughed "All sorts of odd beasties from the Abyssal Plane. Try not to breathe too deeply near the worm. The smells are even more unwordly. Sort of like rotten eggs sitting in an old gym locker for 2 or 3 centuries."

Maximus said "Glad I don't have a nose. 😛 "
 
Damian and Jake led the charge at the giant worm. The worm seemed to turn it's attention to Maximus suddenly and tried to suck him into the hole.
Maximus yelled "Helppppppppppp."
Damian struck the giant worm viciously and it quickly released him.
 
Mortis casts a spell of Supreme Closure to try to close the vortex. The spell pours out many rays of bright red light. Slowly the dark portal begins to close and then suddenly explodes as it vanishes.

Mortis yells "portal is closed. Let's finish off the worm".

Argentum yells back "Awesome job I think the worm was seeing how many of us he could toss into the portal. Thank God no one was sucked in permanently ."
 
Maximus said "Speak for yourself. It was a close call for me."
Damian and Jake led the charge with the group and attacked the retreating worm.
 
Argentum said "Get that worm we can't have giant eating everything and everyone up . Dont aim at rhe head ...worms dont have a lot of brains. Do as much dameage as ypu can to the main body of the worm. I will warn you now.... it's gonna take a lot of damage to kill this monstrosity. There is no other way though."
 
Damian and Jake double teamed the worm with multiple attacks but it shoved both of them off with one motion.
Damian said "Wow that thing is intense."
 
Argentum yelled "Dont be discouraged. These worms take a ton of damage before they die. I think that's why it was sent ... to discourage us. Just keep attacking. Let pit all your frustrations on the bugger. That's what I do.... lol it's therapeutic. 😛 "
 
Damian and Jake double teamed the worm and saw it affected.
Maximus said "Everyone attack on 3...1...2...2.5...2.75..."
 
Argentum says "Awesome job everyone. Keep it up. Never ever seen an Abyssal Worm go down this fast."

Oxxen said "Thanks mate. I just want it dead to get rid of this smell"

Maximus.said "I bet it will smell worst when it's dead."
 
The Group attacked the Giant worm and suddenly it retreated.
Damian said "It retreated but wasn't defeated."
Maximus said "That rhymes."
Jake said "I think that worm is going back to call backup."
 
Argentum said "Follow that worm. We can't leave nasty Abyssal creatures here. It's likely gonna try to hide and heal and come back. Let's kill it now."

Mortis said " could be trying to summon more worms of creatures too"

Argentum said "might well be the case. All the more reason to make it dead now"
 
As the group attacked the worm it retreated into it's hole and the hole began closing quickly.
 
Mortis said "Lets try these soul sucker cubes on the beastie."

Mortis steps up to the closing hole and rapidly fires several soul cubes into these beast. There is an ear shattering roar from inside the hole. The ground shakes violently and then stops..... a foul foul odor eminates from the hole.

Argentum says "i know that odor that is a dead Abyssal worm smell, nothing more nauseating in the universe."
 
Damian and Jake pumped their fist "Great job Mortis" Jake said. He shook his hand.
 
Argentum said :Yes indeed great job Mortis. That soul cube is working great. Giving us a real advantage in these fights"

Mortis said "Thanks but Spreen helped me a lot with it too. He deserves a lot of credit too."

Minst said "Wow we are a super awesome team. Woot Woot. "
 
Damian and Jake both took a breather.
Jake said "We need to find out what is behind all of these recent attacks."
Damian said "I have a feeling it's something far more evil than what we've faced."
 
Argentum said "You are right its definitely very evil. Not just any being cam open such a big portal to the Abyssal Plane. Thank God for that. It's take a super high demon. Normally those are not allowed o this Earthly plane. Something is going on. Some demon is breaking the rules.... which demons like to do. Most don't have the guts to violate Hells rules cause the punishment is nasty. We need to figure out which demons are so emboldened to violate Hells rules"
 
Damian said "How do we do that?"
Jake said "I think we need to work together. Stick together. Explore these lands. And never get comfortable."
 
Argentum said "i think exploring is a good idea. I think perhaps we could use a little more help. I know a priest around here. Maybe he can join us if it's ok with you guys, He knows a lot more about demons and evil beings then even I do. He is a powerful priest but he is rather old. His name is Aleph."
 
Jake said "Where is Aleph?"
Damian said "This group just continues to grow."
Maximus said "But I'm still the leader."
 
Argentum said "He is not far. He stays in a old church. We are just dealing with so much evil here. It would help to have a real expert. He is also a great healer and can cast some great protection spells against demons and the undead."

Minst said "Growing is good. We are dealing with a lot here. We need a strong group."
 
Damian said "Let's go find him Argentum." He followed Argentum who had the lead. Jake followed behind. Maximus said "I ain't afraid of no demons."
 
Hyacin said "What about those metal eating demons, I hear they love to eat swords. Right Argentum (wink)"

Argentum said "oh yeah I forgot about them. Nasty things they are"

Maximus said "Ummm .... well ummm well i suppose it can't hurt to have a priest around might need to do a wedding or a baptism or something. Yup yup."
 
The Group kept their sense of humor despite the impending danger they were seeking out.
Damian and Jake walked side by side as brothers. It felt strange they were apart for so long yet it felt so right to be together again reunited. Argentum noticed that.
 
Argentum said "Its good you are rebuilding your life Damian. You have regained your brother. You are a great mage and a heck of a warrior too. I know Xenos is proud of you my good friend"
