I'm pretty excited, too! This expansion has also been about a year in the making. There are a ton of upgrades and content updates in the game, and I can't wait until you all get to experience them!
 
After four years in development, the tickling fetish video game Cyriaan Chronicles will receive its second huge update on Monday, February 23, 2026. That's one week from today!

The second expansion, called "The Laughing Sands" is a huge content update/upgrade, which marks the final chapter in the game's development. One of the fans from our Discord summarized the content better than I ever could:

It's been a long time in the making, but we're finally here. After four years of development, the game is finally in its final form, according to the vision I had when I set out, and I'm really happy you've all been here on this journey for the game's evolution.

The Cyriaan Chronicles: The Laughing Sands – Review


My husband and I finished the game. And as great fans of the series we love to talk about it. So here is our review.


!!! SPOILERS!!!


Before I talk in detail about the game, I want to say, that the base game and the 1st expansion – Mothers & Daughters were already a great experience and hat a lot to offer. But with the 2nd expansion – The Laughing Sands, the game is nearly perfect! There's so much new content now in the game and it's a absolute delight to play. Big shout out to Oblesklk, you really outdid yourselfe with this expansion. Let's talk about it.


Features: The game offers new features like a mining- and fishing minigame, cooking for healing outside of combat and a dash function for faster movement. But the biggest new features and absolute highlight are the atlas and dungeon challenge system!


The challenge system offers 16 levels of difficulty settings for all the dungeons in the game! You can customize the difficulty as you like it and play the game as you see fit. If you want a challenge, make the enemies stronger or your characters weaker. You have a great amount of variability to mix things up and it's a lot of fun. If you want just to focus on the story, just make the enemies weaker. Depending on your difficulty settings you will be rewarded with more EXP, SP and gold. So if you're a character maximizer and want all the skills, then this feature is absolutely for you.


The atlas is integrated in the image gallery. You can collect pictures from different points of interest in the world of Cyriaan if you visit them. As a result, you learn alot of world history from this places in Cyriaan and important or funny details you didn't know before. Collecting this images is a lot of fun and motivates you to explore every corner of the world to learn her interesting history. If you a reader of the comic series,you definitely will be extra rewarded, because a lot of images are tied to the old comics. So you finally can find the places from your fav comics and learn about them.


In addition, the image gallery features character art and pinups for the tickling scenes in the game. That was already in the previous version of the game, but these sections are inhanced with the new content. We will talk about that a little bit later.


Characters: You can play with two exciting new characters in the game. Princess Amelie of the Aedylon Kingdom and Belli, the Elf from the Diamond Woods. Both characters were already in the game, but only as support NPC's. Now there're fully playable. Both are super fun to play and their playstyle reflects their personality perfectly. And like the other characters, both have also two skill sets.


Amelie joins you very early in the story. She is a fire mage and loves to burn everything in her way. With mighty single target and AOE spells, is she the perfect compliment to Ylie's ice mage. She can aply a burn effect on enemies, which helps her to make even more damage with her fire spells. If this is to hot for you, you can also play her as a supporter. She has a tickle spell and a few other skills to give enemies negative effects. On the opposite, she can give your party positive effects and can heal or revive.


Belli is a optional character. You have to complete 2 special side quests to get her. If you don't, you will miss her and she will join you only as a support NPC. Belli is a fast ranger with scout and arcane archer skills. As a scout, she has great AOE attacks like rain of arrows or different arrow shots, which cause a bleed effect. This effect is a DOT and can stack up, leading to massive damage on the enemies. If you play her as a archer, she can expose the enemies weakness and deal great damage with different types of element arrows. In addition she can poison her enemies with toxic arrows or blind them with shadow arrows. She has great agility and is one of the fastest characters in the game. She also can cast the dash spell I mentioned in the feature section for fast movement.


Now you have 7 playable characters available. Lucia, Ylie, Amelie, Bavol, Belli, Arabeth and Penny. With that, you can always switch up your party as you like and enjoy a exciting variety of skills and combinations.


Art/Animation: The art is definitely one of our favorite things in the game. Big shout out to comic artist Joseph Trujillo, which is responsible for the current comics in the series and all the art in game. All the existing character art in the game got remastered and looks just fantastic. It's perfectly matched with the comic series. The colors are more vived and sharp and give all the characters a much deeper layer. In addition the original main characters Lucia, Ylie, Bavol and Penny got completely new artworks and look just awesome. Of course there's a ton of new art for new characters. It also includes a lot of new tickling pinups and character art you can collect for the image gallery, as I mentioned earlier. You can unlock the new art from collecting new outfits for the Lady's and discover new tickling scenes in the game. All this is super fun. Believe us, you want to collect this. I only say swimsuits.^^ There's a ton of new combat and effect animations in the game. Oblesklk really worked his butt off to make the game look flashy. All the new art and animations are super cool and enhances the game immensely.


Voice Acting: The voice acting in the game was already amazing and one of the best elements. It gave the story and the tickling scenes a lot of depth. The base game was voiced by one VA – Silky Milk, who did all the female characters exept Lucia and some other NPC's. With the 1st expansion we got a new VA – Hera Fields for Lucia. And now with the new expansion, we get even more voice acting. A lot of lines got enhanced and we have a lot of new voice acting with the new characters. Hera Fields (Lucia) from the previous expansion returns. And we have new VA's for Ylie, Amelie and Belli. Ylie is voiced by Kendra Haley, Amelie is voiced by Mia Sloane. Belli is voiced by Vera Rose. And the Lady's absolutely killed it! What a performance! They capture the personalities of the characters perfectly. From emotional conversations to funny chatter or intense tickling scenes, everything is absolutely believable. And we can't believe we say this, but Amelie became our favorite in the series! She is the absolute breakout star for us in this expansion! WOW! Our jaws were on the floor! What Mia Sloane did with her was unbelievable! We don't want to spoil her story arc. You have to experience it yourself. But you will learn why she acts as she does and that nothing is as it seems. So a very big shout out to all our lovely VA's! This is well earned! And of course a big shout out to Oblesklk for his amazing coaching for the voice directions. Job well done.


Naviith: Naviith is the main event of the new expansion. This new zone is a desert land and the reason for the title of the expansion. The land has a pyramid, ruins, a market place, various temples, a underground system, small settlements, sand dunes and the city Naviith itselfe. Naviith is by far the largest zone in the game. You have a lot to do there, especially for the story. It's definitely the most interesting place in the game and has a lot of tickling scenes.


Tickling Scenes: Of course a tickling game is nothing without tickling scenes. A lot of scenes are already in the game. The new expansion adds A LOT more! We will not spoil them here. All we can say is that the new scenes are incredible. Especially the new pinup scenes are ones of the best in the game. The variety of the scenes are very wide in this expansion. There're big and small ones, funny ones, intense ones and even emotional ones. Some are for punishment and others for pleasure. And there's something for everybody. It doesn't matter if you like feet, bellys, underarms, hips ect. This game has you coveret. Every zone in the game has also their own game over scene. That's super cool. And we have to give a huge shout out to Belli's VA – Vera Rose here, which perfectly executes the most intense scene in the game! The mix between suffering and pleasure was a absolute delight! Brilliant performance!


Story: We will not spoil the story in detail, but rest assured that there is a lot of story in the game now! You have not only the new story parts in Naviith, but also the main game was largely enhanced and ties in perfectly with the comic series. Once again, if you a reader of the comics, you will be rewarded. The story has a lot of call backs to the old comics and even the current comics. Everything fits perfectly together. You will learn a lot about Amelie, Belli, Clarissa and some other characters. You will also learn a lot about the history of Cyriaan, what Cyriaan really is and a lot about the Elves and their role in this world. Expect a lot of surprises and a twist that will blow your mind.


Complaints: We have only one complaint about the game and that's really searching for the needle in the haystack. But because all the other parts in the game are so good, you just notice it. The Danmarr Sea zone still lacks a little bit of main story. Don't get me wrong. The zone got very good enhancements in terms of side quests and even a world boss. We also finally see what happens to the Sea Witch after you beat her. But besides that, there's nothing much. The best example is Kylie. You save her but never have a conversation with her. You learn nothing about her. She's just there. It would've been cool to see some enhancements with her and the Sea Witch in the story to find the last crystal. It doesn't hurt the game really, but it's a little bit a missed opportunity here. But as we said, that's really the only thing to complain about.


Personal Stuff: At the End, we would like to talk about some things that we personally would've changed. That has nothing to do with the quality of the game! It's just a personal thing.^^





  • We would've loved to see more screen time for Katrine. Especially in Naviith as the group is forced to play the tickling game in the Elv dungeons. It would've been very cool to see a pair up with her and Amelie in the game just to see their dynamic as sisters and what both would do. This would've been a awesome scene.^^




  • It would've been absolutely awesome to see a 1000 truth scene with Gwen. Or a scene with Gwen and Lucia togehter. Especially after Penny presumes that their mother must have very ticklish feet too.^^ It would've been a absolute delight to see, what secrets Gewn is hiding.^^




  • A scene with Amelie and Kylie tickling interrogating the Sea Witch would've been nice to see. Especially because we know that Amelie loves tickling people and how mean she can be.^^




  • It's a little bit unfrotunate, that not all tickling scenes have orbs. Especially the beach scene in Naviith or Arabeth buried in sand. Not a big deal. There're a lot of scenes in the game. But still would've been cool to have.


That's some stuff we would've changed. As we mentioned, this has nothing to do with the quality of the game. It's just personal taste and fun to think about. But hey, we have the comic series, right? So there's a lot of opportunity here for making it real. ;-D


Summary: This game is absolutely incredible. We loved every minute of it and it was a absolute delight to play. What a wonderful journey. The game ties all the comics perfectly togehter now and everything makes sense. The story is epic and has a lot of emotional twists and turns. It's just a fantastic roller coaster ride. The characters are great. We learn a lot about them and the world they live in. The tickling scenes are absolute nuts. The art is beautiful and the voice acting is a killer. Also this game sets a lot of things in motion for the story of the series. And we really want to see all the things to continue. The relationship with Lucia and Belli, the friendship with Amelie and Lucia, Amelie and her relationship with Katrine and her mother the Queen (We want to see the Queen getting tickled^^), Clarissa and Naviith, Adeliy and Liddy, family with Gewn, Lucia and Penny ect. I hope you can fit all this stuff in the comics my dear Oblesklk.^^ But hey, I don't know your plans, but after you're done with your other project, we would 100% play a Cyriaan Chronicles 2 game.^^ As you can see there's a lot to tell.^^


At the End we just want to say thank you Oblesklk for a truly amazing game. You're a great story teller and a amazing person! We can't wait to see the story going forward in the series. It was an honor to brainstrom ideas for the game and see it come to life. We give this game a 10/10. In our hearts it's a 12/10. Thank you for this masterpiece!

  • Danmarr Sea. Moved Adeliy and Liddy's camp back one square away from the ocean. Players were getting stuck because the new map was triggered while they were still on the boat. Players now have to enter the camp directly, while disembarked.
  • Danmarr Sea. The game over screens weren't properly switching over, so players received the Naviith game over screens while in Danmarr Sea.
  • Naviith. Fixed a conversation that featured Clarissa after she was supposed to be in Naviith.
