Humanity will not colonize other planets unless of course there is a rich deposit of oil under the crust. Now put some oil on some far away planet and you'd see Exxon unveil the Starship Enterprise in about 3 months!!!

Very troubling...until you consider that eventually, the whole universe is going to stop expanding, and implode into a singularity (like the Big Bang, only in reverse), or it's going to keep expanding forever until everything in the universe if just floating hydrogen, a few hundred billion years from now. Whatever happens, it's all temporary...so let's all stop worrying and just live our lives, hmm?

Meh. If any of these catastrophes ever actually occurred , I would just count on Superman reversing the rotation of the Earth to restore things ... or maybe even tossing a giant , cellophane 'S' onto the problem to fix it.

I'm out of work right now because of an injury so I have had lots of time on my hands,more than I've had in years.A couple days ago I spent literally half the day watching clips on the whole 2012 scenario and the thoughts surrounding it.I'll be honest,if you let that in your head it'll bug you out.

Death is certain but the thought of witnessing an event that could possibly wipe out mankind is a little disturbing.With that said,I am kinda curious to see what the future holds but with the state of the world(war,weather,etc)I'm not too optimistic.

The latter, most scientists believe, thanks to the placeholder we currently call "dark energy". In turn, stars will burn out, and everything will end in a quiet "Heat Death". I've decided to declare myself immortal and wait for that calamity. It's my favorite.

Nah. If it ain't Supes , then I don't really trust any of them other DC characters to handle the job.

'Sides , never mind asteroids , volcanos , & magnetic fields ... it'll probably be Galactus who threatens the existence of this planet. In which case , I'll rely on the FF to save us.
