Lol my relatives use to engage in the "you dont know what sick is until you had..." game. Arguing over who was sicker. I remembered that so I try not to fall into that trap now that I am older.

Exactly. What I learned from listening to them is that nobody wants to hear about my ailments any more that I wanted to listen to them complain.

That was one of my father's favorite jokes. He was stoic about his illnesses, not a hypochondriac at all.

Yea wasnt really a hypochondriac either. Though he never really took care of his health.

My father took care of his health in the sense that he saw doctors quite often. But he never listened to their advice, most importantly he never stopped smoking.

Yea my father did not listen either. Wasnt smoking in his case it was sugar and carbs and junk food.

Very very true. Smoking I never got into. Eating I had more trouble with lol.
