It is a rainy cold morning here TODAY. 😀

The same here. 🙁 Nevertheless, it is a good morning because, while I slept, the Dodgers beat the San Diego Pondscum, taking a 1/2 game lead over the Mets for home field advantage in the NLDS. 😀

That is very true. Here is what I hope, which is not unreasonable:
1- Dodgers get home field advantage.
2- Kershaw wins game one, in Dodger Stadium, Friday, October 9th.
3- Greinke wins game two, in Dodger Stadium, Saturday, October 10th.
4- The Mets bullpen implodes, and the Dodgers win game three, 12-3, completing the sweep, on Monday October 12th, with me present in CitiField.
5- I get home alive despite being surrounded by Mets fans while wearing my Dodger jacket and Dodger cap.

#5 is particularly IMPORTANT.

I wish there were an actual island like that, and I would choose it as my retirement home.
But I just mean particular places here in NYC where people behave decently. The American Museum of Natural History is one such PLACE. 😀

Yes, sadly there are fewer and fewer places where people behave decently. Areas I once thought were safe so longer seem safe ANYMORE. 🙁

I am sorry to say that is true here also. A prime example is the neighborhood near the largest Barnes & Noble bookstore in the world (near the corner of Fifth Avenue and 17th Street). It is barely safe to walk there in broad daylight NOW. 🙁
