There are two kinds of insults. (1) True and (2) False.
Type (2) doesn't bother me at all. Somebody says, "You're a fat pig!" and I know that I am not overweight at all. So they are a liar and I don't feel hurt by their false statement.
Type (1) might make me feel depressed, as I'm forced to contemplate a genuine undesirable quality that I have, but I am not hurt by the truth. I always accept the truth.
On the other hand, if somebody insults the Dodgers, or the State of Israel, or all Jews, then I may well want to kill THEM. 😀

Yes, I have. Actually science fiction author Robert Heinlein has one of his fictional characters talk about insults for quite a few pages, and I formulated my own philosophy about them after reading that book. Unfortunately, I read it about 40 years ago and I don't remember the title. I have read over a dozen of Heinlein's NOVELS. 😀

Thank you, my friend. Heinlein is my second favorite among science fiction authors who have died. My first choice is Isaac ASIMOV. 😀
