No you shouldn't say "Jag har det förstått", just "jag förstår" or "jag har förstått". If you really want to add the "det" you should add it to the end of the sentence.

No you shouldn't say "Jag har det förstått", just "jag förstår" or "jag har förstått". If you really want to add the "det" you should add it to the end of the sentence.

I suppose it's different in Swedish, you don't have to add that "it" as in German. 🙂

If you are interested, in german you could also say it without the "it" but you'd use the "it" to substantiate and support the context of the mentioned thinks you've said.

If I'd say: "Ich habe verstanden." There is no concrete reference to the context of your talking.
The sentence would still be correct. And with the "it" you point to the thinks that have been said.... .
