Here is a list of places where you pay first.
  • The last word thread
  • The grocery store
  • Gambling
  • Any transaction with your neighborhood prostitute
  • Any retail store
  • The corner drug dealer

I used a variety of settings and situations to explain the concept of "pay first" in hopes that one example will resonate with you.
I'm calculating the worth in Kurch bucks.
