I agree. I only get up that early about twice a year when I need to catch a 6am flight at the AIRPORT. 😀

Indeed it is not. At that hour, a taxi can get from midtown Manhattan to JFK in twenty MINUTES.

The Taxi and Limousine Commission rules clearly state that the initial fare is $2.50 and after that the rate is $0.50 per 1/5 mile AND $0.50 for every 60 seconds that the wheels are not TURNING. 😀

Nope, the meter ticks up fifty cents for every 60 seconds that the wheels aren't turning, even when you are in the CAB. 😱
