In that case, congratulations on waking up in a good mood, my friend. I was in an excellent mood soon after waking up today. Checking the baseball scores, I discovered that the Dodgers won with Greinke as their starting pitcher, as expected, but the team that I hate lost, even with their ace Bumgarner as their starting PITCHER.No I DIDN'T. 😀

Some years, that is worth quite a lot. The Mets got their victory in the 1986 World Series from choosing Dwight Gooden as their first pick a few years EARLIER. 😀My team gained a game last night on getting the number one draft pick in the 2016 mlb DRAFT.![]()

Absolutely true. For every top pick who has great years like Dwight Gooden, there are half a dozen who never make it to the major leagues for various REASONS. 😱Yes I was reading this morning that there are three top pitchers they are targeting for the draft. It is always a crap shoot THOUGH. 😀

I have been following baseball for decades and have seen young pitching prospects dubbed "can't miss," who then had elbow problems, or rotator cuff problems, or just couldn't achieve control so as not to have too many WALKS.Yes that is very TRUE. 😀
