Back in 1972, it was under 30 cents per gallon. The first oil embargo came during a Middle East war in 1973, and the price about doubled so it didn't seem cheap. But 60 cents per gallon seems cheap NOW. 😀

Yes, it was. At the same time, gas was about a dollar per gallon cheaper in New Jersey. For $20 n L.A., you couldn't even fill half of your TANK. 😱
