Im kinda of a young guy (21) so I havent been here since the beginning. Im just kinda wondering what there was before the tmf? What were some of the first sites for tickling and what not. Im really like history so it would be cool if someone could explain it all to me.

Ah, there is someone who posted a link that archived a lot of the beginings.

For me, I started back in 1990 where all we had was a few sites (Tickletown being the one I frequented the most) chat in AOL in the tickling room, and of course AST (alt.sex.tickling) mewsgroup which became ASFT (alt.sex.fetish.tickling) and then AMT (alt.multimedia.tickling) and of course also being around on USENET which had all of the previous named newsgroups.

Much of what floated around was artwork, stories and very few videos, because the technology wasnt the greatest at the time for videos on line.

There are various other sites, some still in operation but I cant recall whom was the first one. SW Tickle was a great site when I found it, its still around but has not been updated in years.

Most everything prior to the TMF was in the various chat sites (AOL, yahoo, Compuserve etc....) and in the newsgroups. But after a while SPAM pretty much took that over as well as some classic flame wars..and the biggest I recall (many of us that have been around 10 or more years were involved in someway, either by harrasment or putting up with the idiot) ended up with the instigator in jail.

But all in all, its good to have our own little cozy corner of the net.
The old days were fun....but I wouldnt trade what we have now.

Thanks for the info if anyone comes across the link rob is talking about please send it to me, thanks!

I first came upon the online tickle scene back in 1996. Of course, back then, I was only 14, so I had to sort of "break the rules" in order to get into a lot of the tickling sites. A lot of them would have these big, official warning pages with messages such as

BY CLICKING THE LINK BELOW, AND ENTERING THE SITE, I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT I AM 18 YEARS OF AGE (sometimes you would have to be 21) AND THAT I AM READY TO VIEW ADULT-RELATED MATERIAL.

I can't remember if that's exactly what it said, but it was something like that. In short, I would have to click a link that by doing so I would be certifying that I was of legal age...when I really wasn't.

Okay, enough of that. 🙂

Most of the sites that I came across were personal home pages dedicated to tickling. They would usually have collections of tickling pictures, cartoons, stories, and the like. In fact, a lot of the stories that I read on those sites are now hailed as "classic tickle stories." A few of the stories I remember are "The House of Nefertari" and "The Babysitter." As for the sites...one that comes to mind is "The Tickemaster's Page." It was maintained by a guy who called himself "The Ticklemaster." There was also one called Tickle Central. It had some artwork, stories, and some accounts of tickling in the media (summaries of tickling scenes that had popped up in movies, television, etc.). In fact, I believe that was the first tickling page I ever found. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the Tickle Central that is around today or not (i.e. the video company on clips4sale). By that, I mean that I don't know if it is owned by the same person or not. There was also Josie the Ticklish Pussycat's Page, and a page owned by a woman named Donna who was from Kentucky. It had a variety of tickling stories, pictures, etc. Hmmm...what else was there? Well, I remember a page called Alaska Tickles, which was pretty much like the rest I described. I also remember a couple, Steve and Beth, that had their own page. I think it was ASFT, now that I think of it. Additionally, there was an artist that was pretty popular as far as tickling art was concerned. His name was BAC, and he was based in Atlanta, GA. I got one of his catalogs once. He drew a variety of tickling comics.

Well, that's all I can think of right now. This has kind of made me nostalgic. The Web and Internet were so cool back then. Granted, it wasn't as massive as it is today, but not too many people used it, so using it kind of made you feel special. It did with me, anyway. Don't know about anyone else.

I started networking with people via newspaper, magazine ads in the late 70's. I established all my best correspondances in the 80's and by the beginning of the 90's had a large network of snail mail friends (several are on this forum). Along with these friends, we compiled the video mainstream clips that many of you had seen or, if you were foolish, purchased online. I wrote the first hard copy mainstream directory (50 pages long).

I had my first website at the beginning of the 90's and I wrote the first Kittletown book in 1993 which I sent to friends via snail mail.

I have always wanted to do a memoir of the Tickling Scene starting with the 70's but I have either been too lazy or busy. The pre-internet Scene was very interesting and sometimes frustrating, but it was there.

BTW: A lot of those letters to old magazines like Forum, Variations, Human Digest, written in the 70's and 80's were written by me.

Max (see you at NEST)

I like threads like this, I too am pretty interested in how the community came about and how it developed through the early days of the internet. I only really started in 2003. Even since then alone its came a long way.The amount of videos you can get now compared to then is unbelievable, your pretty much spoilt for choice now compared to back then...hard to beleive what it would have been like in 90's or even the 70's/80's like Max spoke of.

I remember being in the same shoes, too young to view the sites, but I didn't know it was inherently sexual, I just knew I wanted media. I wanted to see it, the forbidden fruit of being tickled for long without any control of when it stops.

It just didn't happen in real life. Even if I had tickled a girl for awhile, it was only maybe 2-5m tops. That was an eternity for me, but to read about girls being tickled for so long, usually tied or in a situation where they had no control, like they were imprisoned, locked up in an asylum, tied to a rack, in the stocks in a medieval village, it didn't matter. It just sparked my mind...

I didn't acknowledge it as a fetish, until I read a story on the internet. Fiction, focusing on navel tickling, and it was illustrated. Black background with green text... I don't remember where I found it, but there it was, and in it was a link to "The Tickling Forum", an old Ezboard styled forum with a dark background.

It was the origins of this place. Before 2001 this forum was not Vbulletin, it had a darker atmosphere, and a smaller fanbase. It was the first experiment of its kind in tickling forums, and gave way to this when Psyco4949(sp) left the scene.

This was when I first saw Jeff's first tickling video in MTP, where he tickled a young womans underarms with such a nubile glee that it made me giddy. (Seriously, Jeff is used to it now and can poker face a whole shoot these days, but the smile on his face on that first video lol, priceless.)

I was overwhelmed, new video companies showed up. Dungeonmaiden's, Realtickling, the scene basically exploded.

I was a tyke when the newsgroups were around, I had the fetish I just didn't identify it as something OTHERS had. I had the internet, I played MUD's for crying out loud since I was 10. I used IRC, I just didn't run a search on it... I just assumed I was well...

...weird. 🙂

The history of tickling on the internet started without me...but I'm here now. I'll enjoy it while it lasts. 🙂

Thanks for the responses everyone! I remember the first tickling site I ever came across was the old ANA Tickle site. It was like '97 or '98 and I just typed in tickling into the aol search. Once I seen the site I was like holy shit! :woot:

Now that I think about it, around 1997 or 1998 a site called Women Tickling Men came into existence. I remember being excited to see it, whereas I am interested in f/m tickling material. They had a variety of f/m stories, pictures, cartoons, and the like. Cool site. I don't think it's around anymore, though.

Around since '96ish. Same newsgroups USENET and sites everybody else mentioned and Psychos previous incarnations of even this place, but don't forget Daddy throwing down at the Hotel and UfoDude (and girl then) had Camptickle rocking also. And Max, your's was the first site I remember reading...was all over from there. :happyfloa

Couldn't have put it better bud! lol

Alright!!! Someone remembers. It was good times 🙂

Ah, me in college, circa 1995, on an old hand-me down Apple 2e (I kid you not), dial-up-ing my way onto ASFT late at night, hoping my three roomies didn't catch me... 😀 They certainly thought I was weird enough without *that*, too! I also used to visit #tickling on IRC from time to time, but I found that the guys on there were not respectful of females. That was before I started using a non gender-specific internet nickname (I was "PolkaDot" back then, but I don't expect to be remembered, I wasn't much more active in the community than I am now). I always meant to write some fics for the newsgroup...I was after all working towards a degree in Creative Writing. 😉

Outside of the TMF, HOTEL TICKLE was the best ever tickling website. It was also the first real one I found, and at the time (2000 I think) totally justified my decision to buy a computer and try out this new fangled internet thing.

Ah Yes. Those 3 little pocket mags plus things like HOM's "Knotty" "Hogtie" & "Bound to Please. Yeah, I go waaaaaaaaay back lol.

I remember the first time I walked into an adult bookstore in downtown Boston's adult area which was called the "Combat Zone" and saw those titles displayed in the racks. I almost fainted. I was just a kid and the laws were pretty relaxed about having to be over 21 to buy them.

I had always been a tickle freak but now I saw that there was material out there. This was way before the internet.

From there I progressed to "Tobias Hackner" et. al. and eventually, to making mail and phone contacts through personal ads, etc., eventually graduating to more clandestine pursuits like cruising the streets of Boston in the wee hours tickling willing hookers.

I've heard that audio tapes I made of those sessions are still floating around out there in the tickling community.

One of my biggest regrets was missing that Halloween Party in the village back in the early 80's.

Although we haven't had contact in a while, I remain, your friend from Boston,

Sweet. :happyfloa

It's cool to see history like this. Learning about the past of this genre, this niche, this little corner of our world like this really helps round us out I think.

It's definitely good to hear. :bowing:

And who can forget TickleMaster's domain, where we could see body parts list and be introduced to Frankentickle lol. Damn that was the site that gave me my armpit fetish!

My first...

The first site I found online was "Ticklegal's" back in 1996...but the one that really blew me away was "Tom's Adult Tickling Site!" Man...I couldn't wait to get home from work and just look at everything. Not to mention he was just a rockin cool dude and as it turned out we became pretty good friends and he lived just down the highway from me! We never met, but talked on the phone all the time. He use to post massive amounts of pics at the AMT and use to hold weekly chats. Kuddo's Tom 🙂

Camptickle was also one of my favs as well as inspiration for me creating HotelTickle. Ahhh...the good ole days...I sure miss some of those sites. It was definatley a transition period for how internet tk material was delivered and what it led to today!

peace out,
daddy

Yeah, I loved Hotel Tickle!!! and Camp Tickle too. I loved looking at those Blanchey pics ufodude had.

Hey Daddy, are you ever bringing Hotel Tickle back??
