Hello everyone,

This may not be entirely relevant to this particular forum, but this is a critical issue to me and I really need to mention it. Thank you for understanding.

Last year I lost my credit card payment system because PayPal unfairly closed my account. I eventually got a new system, but due to circumstances out of my control, it appears I lost it again. Believe me, no one is more disappointed about this than I am. At the moment I don't see any alternative. It's getting harder and harder to find decent online billing services willing to do business with adult-related stores, even one as tame as The Last Laugh. Quite frustrating. So I'm afraid that I will be unable to accept credit card payments for some time to come. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.

On the other hand, payments by cash, money order or check are just fine. Just visit the "Place an order" section of my website to get ordering instructions and to access the order form. I realize not everyone likes ordering by mail, but truth is, as long as the payment is well hidden in the envelope (say inside a couple folded sheets of paper) it's really a safe method, and such orders don't take that long to get to me. Plenty of people have ordered videos from me this way without any problems. Also, I'd like to mention that while checks do take some time to clear at the bank, I still process such orders as soon as I get them, just like any other order. So there's no additional clearing delay. I think it's a convenient and safe payment method. The only problem is that I can only accept checks from American and Canadian customers. Of course, cash and money orders are just fine for all customers.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and sorry again about the inconvenience.

Money orders are your best bet as a customer.

Hey Francois A, I am sorry to hear about your billing issues...
I can't believe that VISA or however would have this issue...there are thousands of porn places out there..

Umm, have you asked TIB who he works with for credit cards(I assume you have) or other tickling producers what they do.
I see that you have put some clips up on clips4you web site.
Maybe you should put more "clips" up there...just a thought.

Well best of luck to you Francois A!

Money orders are convenient, but buying one from my bank for around thirty or forty Canadian dollars would cost me an extra seven pounds (which amounts to about another $20 Can). It's tricky situation sadly.

I agree that money orders are a fine form of payment. The only problem is that one needs to go to the post office, postal counter or whatever to get one, and one also has to pay a certain amount to buy one. Some people may not find this as convenient as they'd like. But I do recommend money orders to people who don't mind the process and the extra expense.

Banks and credit card companies have become quite extreme in their witch hunt for "adult" stores. It's very sad that even stores like The Last Laugh aren't immune to this. We're all dumped in the same category, regardless of the actual content. That's over-generalization and discrimination in my book. At the same time, these companies aren't exactly consistant or logical. You're right, there are still thousands porn stores out there that still use online billing systems (but for how long?) It doesn't make sense.

Ah yes, the clip thing. Well, I'm not too comfortable bothering TIB with my problems and asking him for advice. Same for other vendors. I do have some contacts with a few vendors, but I don't think there's much they can do.

As for clips4sale.com, I find it very strange that you refer to my clips, because I don't have any. What you're referring to may be the videos4sale.com stores I had until a couple weeks ago, which were physical video stores (DVD/VHS), not clip stores. Clips4sale.com/videos4sale.com recently felt the sting of intolerant banks and credit card companies, and as a result have been going through some changes in their system to get things rolling again. While it's not definitive, it appears that videos4sale.com may disappear, as it's not sure whether the new system will support physical product transactions (the reason why I lost my stores). As for clips4sale.com, well, I guess I could deal with them, and to tell the truth I've been seriously considering it. I may still do it, actually. But it's not a perfect solution, and for now I prefer to see what will happen with their new system before doing anything. I believe transactions aren't yet possible at clips4sale.com right now, though they're working hard on it.

In any case, even if I could sell clips, I'd really like to be able to keep seling physical videos. At least DVDs. That's my personal favorite format, and I know that many people share my preference. Some aren't even interested in clips at all. I'd hate to lose or disappoint the DVD fans among my potential customers. But without a credit card billing system that supports tangible goods, my video sales are likely to remain fairly low.

I'm really sorry money orders are so expensive in the UK. It's been a while since I bought one, but the last time I did it cost me about $4 (Canadian), which is a whole lot more reasonable.

Of course, you could always send cash and avoid the extra expense, but I realize that not everyone is comfortable sending cash in the mail, even if, in my experience, it's quite safe as long as one carefully hides the money in the envelope.

Besides that, I'm really sorry I can't accept foreign checks. I'm not sure why, but I was told that I can't. Otherwise it would be a cheaper and rather convenient method for you. After all, as far as I know, most people have checks handy at home.
