Good win for Tony. A Pez dispenser? That's all it takes to make you happy! I'll just take these diamonds back to the jeweler, I guess.

I SWEAR I'm not just saying this- I have absolutely no use whatsoever for diamonds. You take those back right now, rent you a nice RV with a big screen TV and a big fridge full of tea, swing by Michigan and pick up the Pokester, head to NJ and gather me up then pick up slacker in PA and let's head to Texas Motor Speedway.

Then let's never go home. Pokey's boss can join us on the weekends and then in the summer when she's not working and he can have his motorcycles on a trailer on the back and we'll just stay on the road until Homestead.

Can we do that, pretty please? Do you have enough diamonds to cash in?

I truly wish I did! It would be quite a summer. But with us four I don't think we'd have enough for gas after we buy the "tea". Besides, I don't think the three of us guys could keep up with you while drinking "tea".

IROC starts in 15 minutes. I love IROC. I'm gonna do a lot of sitting and watching TV this weekend. And perhaps have a tea or two.

And Tony Stewart claims his third IROC victory and his first any kind of victory at Texas Motor Speedway! I think I'll have some PEZ to celebrate.

LK70, PEZ and tea, together. Kered and Isabeau, we'll be hearing the Queen without a phone this weekend. I got a tea ready for tomorrow.

#9 Kahne starts first
#6 Martin starts third
#88 Jarrett starts twenty-seventh
#20 Steward starts 40th? what happend to qualifying

Ah, the IROC got to him, just a hangover. LK70 and Stewart must have had too many celebration teas.

Wow, that would be way on top of my TO DO list, if I were all powerful.

Hey, I don't watch 24, but did anyone see Carl Edwards on it last week? How did he do?

Oh boys and girls! I am in beautiful Bristol, TN on business and the first thing I did after climbing in my rental car was speed off to find the Bristol Motor Speedway. Not hard to find as you may imagine, and I drove around it (outside) twice, then sat in the parking lot staring up at a GIANT Dale Earnhardt display for quite awhile. The place is absolutely magnificent, huge, unbelievable- I'm telling you, it's like a church to this unholy redneck. Someday, somehow, I just GOTTA see a cup race here.

Then I headed to my hotel, but on the way, in honor of Dale Jr, I found me a drive thru liquor store and bought me a 6 of Bud. Yee haw y'all. 😎

😛 Queen LK70, you have such a great way with words and making pictures with those words that just say come on down y'all. That, they say, is a great place to watch a race. I have worked with several folks that have been going there since the 70's. Have a great trip to Tennessee. 😛

Ghost at Talladega

Take a look at JR's paint scheme for this weekend in honor of Daddy's birthday. I think all the DEI cars are doing it.

That's gonna be something to watch. I can't wait.

WE got some interesting racing going on at the Busch race today. My pick for the Busch race was the 60 Edwards. My pick for the Cup race is Jr. in the 8.

Well JR didn't get to honor his daddy with a win, sadly. That bozo Johnson won again, the jackass. And once again, Tony is number 2 at Talladega. That's like 5 in a row now.

What I found cool about the whole thing- after the big wreck, Kasey Kahne was out due to an injury, so Hermie Sadler drove his car for owner points. Hermie's car had been wrecked in the same crash and couldn't be driven anymore. Mark Martin's car got bashed up. Biffle's car was not in the wreck but blew an engine and since it couldn't be driven anymore, they put Biffle's hood on Martin's car so Martin could go back out. Not sure I've ever seen a hodge podge like this.

Meanwhile, this weekend I went and watched RC racing- this is remote control cars that cost like $1500 and have replacement parts and everything. Some of them run on gas and they actually pit for more! They change tires between races and the whole bit. It was really very cool. I'm going back next Wednesday to watch them race Nastrucks. My contact at the track is actually making me a Tony Stewart truck so I can get a feel for it too. This is the coolest! I'm so glad I've never grown up. And I never will either. So there.

NASCAR isn't a sport!

"This month, as the 2006 season kicks off Feb. 11 at Daytona International Speedway, NASCAR racing is second only to the National Football League (NFL) in television ratings. Last year, 75 million fans went to the track to watch the cars go round and round, making NASCAR the nation's most-watched sport. Indeed, NASCAR has grown so popular that five television networks, including Fox, ABC and ESPN, signed a contract in December valued at $4.48 billion to broadcast NASCAR's various races for eight years beginning in 2007. That's almost double the estimated $2.4 billion deal Fox, NBC and TBS signed with NASCAR in 1999, which expires this year."

Damn. :sowrong:

I don't like either driver, so I guess I'm at odds with both. I can't stand JJ because he's just a Gordon clone, who I also can't stand. Tony is one of those guys who'll piss and moan that driver's shouldn't do this or that, then turn around and do it himself.

LONG LIVE MARK MARTIN!!!!

And as far as NASCAR not being a sport goes, I believe it was Kenny Schraeder who said "We'll strap you in one of these cars and let you drive at those speeds for 500 miles. If you can talk when you get out of the car, then you can say what you want". Or something to that effect.

Now, I don't think that wanting to watch you and the Queen play in the anything is in the gutter. The appears to me to be a much higher elevation when you think about it. Two lovelys, laughing, having fun, getting dirty, just how can that be bad. Kered, I think they could even sell tickets. I'll bring a towel, how about you? They'll have to dry off their feet? :idunno:  :devil2:
