Eh, I've gotten kind of used to that with some of the other lees around here. :laughing:Excess said:Indeed you did. She's extra hyper right now apparently, so you might have had your hands full.
Oh yes, I am aware of that. *Keeps a look around for when she comes back in.*Excess said:A new piece of equipment huh? I've been using some new equipment alot lately (especially on Sammi). But I'm guessing it's meant to be a surprise. Just be ready, cuz Jeawl is gunning for you, as I'm sure you know.
Well, a lot of the people who say it sucks are ones who either A) suddenly decided they don't like Final Fantasy VII now that the new stuff's come up. B) Never liked the original game. or C) Have only played the Japanese version. The gameplay actually isn't that bad. As I've mentioned in other threads, we did get a lot of improvements over the original Japanese release, and having played it, I can see how those improvements really helped the game. If you're interested in the story, then I'd say run out and pick it up. If you're in it more for the gameplay, well, it's a pretty standard action/RPG/shooter game, so you might want to rent it before you buy. So far, just in my opinion, I'd give it a 9 out of 10.Excess said:Best to have eyes in the back of your head.
BTW, how's DoC? I've heard alot of mixed things about it. The problem is, I don't know what's biased and what isn't. On one hand, there are people who like it and say it's great just because it's FFVII, but on the other hand, there are people that hate it and say it sucks for the same reason. I'm more concerned about the gameplay than the story, but that's me. And unfortunately, I can't play any new games now anyway cuz I'm tight on money.
Yes, the limit break thing is a little odd, but it does come in handy, especially in boss fights. Also, the game does have a lot of replay value for unlocking hidden things like cutscenes in the Event Viewer or things for the Character, Sound, and Art Viewers by playing through the extra missions you obtain once you beat the game.Excess said:Thanks. I myself am more interested in gameplay, since that's what'll keep me coming back to it. I actually read that they did a kinda weird thing with limit breaks by making them items or something. Of course, I'll likely rent it if I do, since I don't like forking out over $30 for a game if I'm not sure I'll like it. In all fairness, while I don't agree with all the sequals, if they actually ended up being good, I'd be more for it. Besides, there aren't any other games I'm paticularly interested in right now anyway.
That'd be cool. Which games for the Gamecube are you thinking about?Excess said:That's cool, I like a game to have enough unlock-ables. If I'm going to be spending money on leisure stuff though, it'll be 1. a new graphics card, 2. a Gamecube, 3. games for the Gamecube, and, when it comes out, Twilight Princess. So I'm keeping whatever money I have to spend right now, but I make an exception and pick up a rental every now and then, so I may pick it up sometime this weekend actually.
